Paper Topic: Biomechanics in practice
Task
Read the following :
Mitchell Forster, a top order batsman and slips fielder, had to withdraw from the Australian Cricket Tour of India in 2014 due to a recurrent hamstring injury. His most recent acute injury occurred during while running to field a ball and then throwing the ball to the wicket keeper. The Australian team physiotherapist described this most recent acute injury as an exacerbation of severe proximal/high hamstring tendinopathy. An uncertain prognosis for the return to play was reported by the physiotherapist.
This requires you to present a Powerpoint presentation of 12 slides (Three main headings; for each main heading you should have four subheadings) with attached notes of 200 words per slide (excluding the references that will be below the 200 words). These notes are the notes that you would use to present the presentation and are to be in dot point form and fully referenced. The pictures have to be referenced as well

The design of the slides should be:
1. Simple
2. Limited bullet points & text (On the slide)
3. Limited Transitions & builds (animation)
4. Use high-quality graphics (pictures)
5. Have a visual theme, but avoid using PowerPoint templates
6. Use appropriate charts (If needed)
REFERENCING
Use in-text reference on the slide and full reference on the notes section. For the pictures in-text reference it has to be neat and small. As for the 200 words, make sure the references are in-text as well. and once you finish writing the 200 words you should put the full references below them.

You are a family protective services caseworker employed by the county government. You have been asked to investigate a case of possible elder abuse. Mamie is 87, is slowly losing her memory to senility and is nearly incapacitated by degenerative arthritis. She lives in her family home with a 59-year-old divorced son who was honorably discharged from the service many years ago and was hospitalized on a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia.

Mamie’s daughter, Moira, wants her mother placed in a nursing home, but the son, Meldrick, says that he can care for her at home, with some financial support from Moira and, of course, Mamie’s Social Security and Medicare assistance. But Moira has had repeated reports that Mamie has been seen sitting in Meldrick’s car for hours late at night and during the winter while he visits OTB, plays cards at church and drinks in bars. She also has evidence of bruises that Meldrick insists were caused as he was lifting her from bed to wheelchair or as he was helping in and out of the car.

In a memo of about 2,400 words, discuss whether Mamie is being abused. Your supervisor is a former college professor, and you know that she would like you to analyze Meldrick’s behavior in terms of the theories that Wallace poses as explanations for elder abuse.

You have been named as a citizen-advocate member of the state’s Mental Health Council. One of the council’s projects is a report on the effects of deinstitutionalization on the state’s criminal justice system. In its opening section, it wants to look at this issue generally. You have been asked to research and report on this subject.

In a memorandum of approximately 2,400 words, discuss the impact of deinstitutionalization over the past 35 years years on criminal justice. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Research Paper

Students are expected to research a Social issue or problem, and explore how at least three different minority groups have been affected by this issue. On immigration this theory could be used: The Noel hypothesis with its emphasis on competition and power. Mexicans were conquered and colonized in the 19th century and used as a cheap labor force in agriculture, ranching, mining, railroad construction, and other areas of the dominant group economy in the south west. In the competition for control of land and labor, they became minority group, and the contact situation left them with a few power resources with which to pursue their self-interest.

Understanding what corporate responsibility is, and how its definition may vary depending upon 1) cultural influences and traditions 2) state of economic development.
Description of Assignment
In this initial assignment, students are asked to provide a brief insight (2-3 pages) into how CSR is being defined in their own country. Is it formal, informal? Are there business practices that might be acceptable within their own countries, but would conflict or not be accepted globally? What are examples of companies that appear to be good, bad CSR companies based on their understanding?
The format can be a persuasive OpEd piece for the Financial Times or the Economist outlining the opportunity for corporate responsibility in the country, or a company memo to the Board of Directors informing them about the desired responsibility role of the company in the country.
Quality Indicators (how will it be graded; what constitutes a good assignment)

Students are assessed on how thoroughly they have considered the questions, how well they have researched the paper, including appropriate citations, and whether their understanding of CSR and observations about its practice in their country are well-supported by the examples given.
The country should be Croatia and I would like to have at least 2-3 examples in the paper. At the end you can find 3 class specifications in order to guide you more for the reedings. This term paper is supposed to be turned in after the 3rd class.
