How does NCLB support an agenda of privatization and an attack on public school by improving the public schools which support most of poor and minority children.

The choice of book that I will for the class is Meier, D. & Wood, G. (2004). Many children left behind. Boston, MA: Beacon Press. The reason for reading this book in class is because the book is opening the minds of the American citizens on 2002 federal law ‘no child left behind act’ NCLB. Instead of improving the public schools, which support most of poor, and minority children the law is doing the opposite. ? This book is showing the harsh effects of the NCLB instead of assisting all the children. The book is an essential guide to show the wrong and how to solve it. Also, guide us on where we should go back from. The book name is Meier, D. & Wood, G. (2004). Many children left behind. Boston, MA: Beacon Press.

Directions to the Six Sigma Blackbelt Project

Tri-Core Medical (illustrative project only – – not an active client engagement) has provided us a good example for a Lean Six Sigma study. Essentially, the facts presented to us are as follows:
• There are 12 labs and they have differing levels of production – – from 780 draws of blood per month to 1200 draws.
• The patient population and the equipment, even the three types of blood testing done are all nearly identical.
• There is wide variation in the methods and approach.

The question to the blackbelt candidates is, “How would we approach this project?” “What Lean and Six Sigma tools might we suggest using to better analyze and control the variance?”
Even though we are not actually at this client, it is possible to go through the DMAIC method and discuss the tools and to populate a study.

Your assignment is (in PowerPoint form, approximately 25 slides) to create a blackbelt project summarizing the problem, goal, process, causes of variation, analysis, graphics, and potential experiments to control. The expectation that using the sample presentation that was provided each team will be able to recreate and populate at least 10 different tools using the updated data from the 2013 tab in the excel document . Be sure to look at the example project.ppt (provided) and the current data (provided). You and your team can ask any questions you wish of your instructors.
