Complete a 5-7 page final paper that analyzes the future impact of this social problem HIV/AIDS. In this assignment, you will cover:

1. The scope of this social problem over the last 30-50 years. (note: you will need to use historical data to articulate the scope of this problem.)

2. An analysis of one major theoretical perspective from our textbook that is useful in understanding this social problem.

3. Finally, your own analysis of how you think addressing the social problem could be improved. In this analysis, please mention what you think should be done to solve this social problem. Your paper should utilize sound critical thought and it should provide appropriate APA in-text citations and APA full-reference citations.

4. Use at least four concepts from our text (not used in our previous assignments) in your analysis.

The students will work towards preparing a research proposal of 2,500 words and making a presentation of their proposed research. However the students will be required to submit the introduction, literature review and methodology, which will form major part of the contents of the research proposal, as separate individual assignments. This is to ensure that the students are provided with an opportunity to receive feedback and use this to revise these components for the development and submission of a more effective research proposal. A well developed research proposal should enable the students to conduct their research in the second semester with support and guidance from their allocated dissertation supervisor. The last assignment requires students to present their research plan to an audience of students and staff. It is aimed that this will enhance their communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to obtain, challenge and use feedback from a wider audience.

 The text(s) itself. Preferably a critical edition of the work(s), if available. If using one or more of the works provided in pdf format, you should find a published edition of the work. Good online editions, such as U of T’s Representative Poetry Online, are okay; you just have to cite them correctly.
 One article from a peer-reviewed journal. If you are writing on The Virgin Suicides and you are using the Shostak or Mulvey article that is assigned, you must include at least one other peerreviewed
source.

 One print book as a secondary source (i.e., other than the text itself).

Alex Sander case
The case, ‘A day in the life of Alex Sander’, details a fast track professional and one of his work days. The case shows how Alex is a driven worker and has had success in a new company.
A 360 review process was implemented by the company. Alex does not think the process is necessary and has been resisting reviewing the results. His direct manager does not agree.
After you review the information in the case and chapters 1 through 8 of our text, address the following:

• How do the individual beliefs, values and underlying assumptions appear to differ between the Alex and his boss?

• Does the mission and strategy appear to be the same for Alex and his team or do they differ? What are some examples?

• How would you describe the Alex’s time assumptions versus managements and his staff?
