Changing or Retaining the Current Team
This report starts by weighing the alternatives provided, which in this case represents the value of the players to the LA Lakers basketball team. This section will offer a clear assessment of the alternatives provided and the effect of each choice on both primary and secondary audiences. Next, the assumption that the traded players will keep the good performances has also been discussed.
Selling out Kobe Bryant
Kobe is a key player who attracts huge following from LA Lakers’ fan base. The decision to waive Kobe will assist the club to buy new players that are cheaper and much younger.
Retaining Kobe Bryant
The clubs management has the alternative of retaining Kobe and signing another player to restructure the team. This alternative will ensure that the club’s supporters are satisfied.
Findings
Based on thorough analysis of the alternatives available, retaining Kobe and adding another player is a better option. Kobe and the new star will assist to revive the team, improving its performance while at the same time retaining the support of the fans, who play a motivational role in the club. This move will ensure that both primary and secondary audiences are satisfied.
