Object Perception and Unity in Infants

Below is my 100 word initial essay on the chosen topic. After that is the actual assignment description.Object Perception and Unity In Infants (Chapter 16)Infants perception of object unity is elementary when compared to how an adult perceives an object or scene. There are several theorists that have studied infants growth including object unity. Piaget’s theory is one theory that described detailed information regarding an infant’s development and perception. Another theory is how infants learn perception rather than having been born with it. Infancy perception and unity is separated into two month spans beginning at newborn (0-2 months), 2-4 months, and 4-6 months. Infants do not have the knowledge of the world as adults do and several studies have been done to figure out and document the process that infants use for perception.References:(THIS IS THE COURSE TEXTBOOK) Goldstein, E.B. The paper is expected to incorporate physiological and psychological aspects of perceptual functioning.Note: A very important aspect of this paper is that it must be about more than what is already covered in the course. Textbook chapter summarizing and other course learning materials review is not the goal; instead, the paper must expand on a topic covered in the course. The course textbook and academic, peer-reviewed journal articles must be used for the paper. It must be comprised of paraphrases, which are restatements of what you read in published materials. Your professor needs to see what meaning you are able to make of what you read rather than what you can copy and place inside quotation marks. All published materials on which the paper is based must be source credited in both the paper body and in a list of sources attached to the end per APA formatting rules. Per course policy, a first instance of any copying, with or without source crediting at the end of the copied content will result in an assignment score of zero with no option for revision and course failure for a second copying incident.Final Course Paper Grading RubricGrading Criteria and Points Possible37.5 points possibleMechanics: Spelling, grammar, sentence structure, readability, flow37.5 points possiblePresentation: Organization, clarity of presentation, timeliness, meets length requirement of 10 pages, not including the cover and References pages37.5 points possibleRelevance: Appropriateness of material covered to topic of perception150 points possibleIntegration: Synthesis of personal insight with paper concepts150 points possibleComprehensiveness: Adequate coverage of paper topic37.5 points possibleFormatting: APA source crediting, inclusion of at least three scholarly resources other than the text and required readingTotal Points Possible: 450

Literary Analysis

1. A symbolic reference from the story \”A Rose for Emily\”.2. If possible use \”the old south\” as the symbolic reference.3. You have to use one reference besides the story itself. So two references all together. Book Report

The Book Report is due in Module/Week 5. You are encouraged to select a book and begin reading it early in the course. The book you choose must be written about children by a professional in the field of child development (examples of professionals are doctors, educators, pediatric nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers) and must be between 250–300 pages. Write a well-focused Book Report discussing the child development issues/ideas addressed in your chosen book. Your report must include 4–5 pages of content in addition to a title page and a reference page. The title page, the body of the report, and the reference page must all be formatted according to current APA style as outlined in the APA Manual. In your report, include the number of pages in your chosen book. The Grading Rubric for this assignment provides the specific requirements and expectations for the assignment. Review it before submitting your report. Please take a look at the book report protocol and grading rubric listed in the course content as well. I especially recommend that you look at the grading rubric. One of the grading items listed in the grading rubric, is that you are asked to include the number of pages that are in your book within the book report!Book: Nature and Nurture in Early Child Developmentby Keating, Daniel P.PRINT ISBN 9780521840408EBOOK ISBN 9781139007962

Adolescence – Now and Then

PLEASE FOLLOW THIS AS A GUIDELINE!1. Is it harder to go through adolescence now, or was it more difficult 40 years ago? (circa 1970-80) This sounds like a philosophical and generally simple question, but is much more involved when you really think about it. Take into account several issues in your answer including those mentioned in class, but do not limit your response to those. You might refer to the increased attachment to peers young people now have, the ever increasing role of technology in that stage of life, or pressure to do well academically speaking from family and one’s self. With each issue you refer to; however, relate it back to the education system and how our structured system affects that issue during adolescence.Specifically adolescence refers to approximately grade 6/7 – college/university, anywhere from age 10-22. This is an opinion based assignment, thus there is no wrong approach. Yes you can use ‘I’ and refer to personal experiences if you wish; however, do not turn your assignment into a journal article.

Module 1 Discussion Board

Consider Ethics and Social Responsibility, Bad Apples Can Contaminate Company Culture (Read the complete article on page 50).Unethical employees, or “bad apples,” include crab apples (bullies), sour apples (pessimists), apple polishers (those who take credit for others’ work), and rotten apples (those who violate acceptable standards). Bad apples can be infectious and may lead to a catastrophic impact on morale and productivity. It is important for employers to have policies in place to prevent bad apples from infecting the rest of the barrel. In your opinion, what are some ways to deal with employees that are bad apples?Do you think that bad apples cause other employees to engage in misconduct? Why or why not?Have you observed a bad apple in your workplace? If so, what were the circumstances? Please see attachments.
