The different types of bullying and how you can prevent bullying
This is the final paper for my ” Global Chinese Cinema”course.
Course Description: This course examines Chinese cinema in a global age, with particular focus on the transnational contexts of production, circulation and reception. Charting the cinematic developments from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities since the 1970s, we explore the national/global interface in Chinese film history, and investigate the shifting dynamics between art, ideology, and material conditions in and beyond Greater China. We consider issues of space, gender, nationalism, colonialism, censorship, diaspora, and other relevant theoretical perspectives. We will watch films directed by veteran filmmakers such as Ang Lee, Wong Kar-wai, Zhang Yimou, Jia Zhangke, Peter Chan, Hou Hsiao-Hsien, Wayne Wang, as well as up-and-coming young filmmakers whose works provide the most current commentaries for Chinese film culture in the age of global capitalism. The Final paper is 7-8pages research paper , and topic is depends on you, write anything or any point about the movies we have watched on this course or what we learned from. For example, the topic could be to compare 2 movies in some ways or the common ground of 3 movies. Even you can just focus on one movie in some meaningful point that relate to the course, Etc. And whatever you choose to be topic, please have a very strong thesis and relate to our course. Research Project: “Information Literacy Research Project”
You will work on a theme and format of your choice to investigate a topic in the history of technology between 1500-1980. With the assistance of the Hagerty Library Research Librarians, I will provide the tools and guidance needed to develop the projects and to enhance your Information Literacy.
Topics might be: the technical innovations created or research conducted in a particular geographic region, institutions of science and technology, the individuals or communities working in technology, etc.
These are individual projects. You will determine the type of your final product (essay, report, annotated bibliography etc).
To complete this research you will likely need to locate 1) one or more primary historical sources (documents written during the time you are focusing on and by scientists, or science administrators working in the city), 2) at least two secondary historical sources that place the primary sources in their historical context (works written by contemporary historians), and/or 3) a map of the region during the time period (or close to it).
