Write a two paper summarizing your understanding of how a Geographic Information System (GIS) is used in Health Care today.

1. Write a two paper summarizing your understanding of how a Geographic Information System (GIS) is used in Health Care today. Consider potential challenges, offer possible uses and solutions how health care managers could use a GIS to make better informed decisions.
In particular, I am looking for you to begin making a connection with GIS in health care by understanding and expressing your own ideas and thoughts not just something you have seen in your research. Begin the process of thinking like a health care manager and try to apply what you see, read and hear about GIS in health care.
Objectives
Broadly define GIS
Demonstrate how GIS can be used for health care solutions
Learn how to research the field of GIS
Resources
Broad research to help you understand the field of Geographic Information Science is key to your health care decision making foundation. Here are a few introductions to GIS used within health care. Conduct your own search to learn more. Explore the websites provided below as each will provide you a greater insight into this emerging field of study.
1.Challenge or opportunity? GIS has only recently been adopted in health care starting with disease research and global public health. As the science has grown, primarily due to the analytic power of computer systems, programmers and application developers have spent the last 8-10 years focused on the health sector.
3. Industry leader speaks: Bill Davenhall, ESRI Global Marketing Manager, Health and Human Services Solutions provides a perspective how GIS can be used to make informed decisions.
4. Here are some web links to help you understand the topic of GIS. You may also do your own research using Internet resources and the Dell Webb Library Literature Search.

That is, what is it you learn about identity from reading and writing lyric poetry, viewing and creating self-portraits, and reading and writing your own memoir?
So, there are 2 steps to completing this essay:
For the first 1-2 pages: Discuss what you learned from the Humanities (reading, viewing, and creating). Think back to the assignments, readings, and discussions about lyric poetry, and self-portraits and life writing, and pick the top 3-4 things you learned about self and identity, and how the humanities are connected to identity issues.
For the next 1-2 pages: Discuss how the humanities enhance and broaden our understanding of identity, beyond what was learned in the social sciences. So for this section, you should re-visit Paper 1 and try to make some connections between the type of the type of knowledge gained from the social sciences and the type of knowledge offered by the humantiies. For example, how does a self-portrait (the viewing of one or creating one) enhance our understanding of identity? And, what type of knowledge does a self-portrait offer that may not be found in a social sciences article? You may these questions about life writing (Memoirs) and poetry.

Physician Assisted Suicide or Death with Dignity as it is often called continues to be a controversial topic in the area of death and dying. Three states (Oregon, Washington and Vermont) have laws that allow the terminally ill to acquire prescriptions for lethal doses of medications from their physicians. Residents of New Mexico who are terminally ill have a constitutional right to obtain aid in dying following a judge’s recent decision. However, New Mexico’s attorney general is appealing this decision. In Montana a court case established that doctors are protected if they write a lethal-medication prescription requested by the terminally ill patient.
