Depending on what will be of most value to you, you can choose to take a narrower focus on one of three areas:

• How organisations approach and manage the identification and evaluation of benefits from projects at the organisational level

Assessment for this module is in the form of one written assignment of 2500 words. The assignment should identify and critically analyse some aspect of HR strategy and/or practice in place in a specific organisation. The analysis should be well supported by theory and evidence and should lead to clearly stated conclusions or recommendations for change.

Critically reflect on how you make sense of organisations, yours/others leadership approach and the nature of organisational change. Suggest how you might be more effective.

Using the literature and drawing upon your own experience, critically reflect on how you make sense of organisations, yours/others leadership approach and the nature of organisational change. Suggest how you might be more effective.

(i) Identify and describe a change (current or past) in an organisation in which you have been employed or actively participated. Ideally this should be a change that you have initiated or have been an active participant.
(ii) Critically evaluate the change event drawing upon organisational, leadership and change literature.
(iii) Reflect on it at a personal level – feelings engendered in response to any aspect of the experience.
(iv) Suggest how it might have been improved in practice.
