Step 2: Discuss corruption in government. Using this case as a starting point, consider corruption as a whole in government. Use the Internet or the library to find out more about ethics and the government.
o What causes those in government to consider corruption?
o What are the ethical standards set for government employees?
o Have these changed at all over time? If so, how?
o How are tabs kept on the government to ensure ethical behavior?

Reading: The first 50 pages of the Russo’s “That Old Cape Magic”

Choose a modern day country by accessing CIA World Factbook online. Become a modern day revolutionary for your country you choose. Research what is going on and decide on reasons for a new government. You will do this by reading various articles on what is going on in the country you chose. Most of these articles will be newspaper articles as well as a little research on the country itself. 3 sources and citations for two quotations or paraphrases. Include cover slide. You will recreate and rewrite the Declaration of Independence in modern day terms picking a modern day country. Slide 1 title of declaration, class name, student name, instructor name and date.

Slide 2 is an introduction of your declaration on explaining which country you chose and why.

Slide 3 create your opening passages. This is equivalent to the first paragraph in the declaration. The only passage you are allowed to use is “when in course of Han events”

Slide 4,5and 6 come up with a minimum of 9 grievance. 3 grievances on a slide making sure they are in bullet form, you will explain each grievance in the note section under each slide give “why” you went with that particular grievance keep in mind, when you are talking about modern day governments you need to take into account the executive, legislative and judicial branches. Talking about present day only.

Slide 7 closing paragraph use the following words to begin paragraph “We,therefore, the representatives of these”(put country representing here) and the closing for your declaration closely resembling the Declaration of Independence.

Critiquing the validity and robustness of research featured in journal articles provides a critical foundation for engaging in evidence-based practice. In Weeks 5 and 6, you explored quantitative research designs. In Week 7, you will examine qualitative and mixed methods research designs. For this Assignment, which is due by Day 7 of Week 7, you critique a quantitative and either a qualitative or a mixed methods research study and compare the types of information obtained in each.

To prepare:

Select a health topic of interest to you that is relevant to your current area of practice. The topic may be your Course Portfolio Project or a different topic of your choice.

Using the Walden Library, locate two articles in scholarly journals that deal with your portfolio topic: 1) Select one article that utilizes a quantitative research design and 2) select a second article that utilizes either a qualitative OR a mixed methods design. These need to be single studies not systematic or integrative reviews (including meta-analysis and metasynthesis). You may use research articles from your reference list. If you cannot find these two types of research on your portfolio topic, you may choose another topic.

After 3 sessions, however, it seems awkward or difficult to suggest 2 sessions. But I DID bring up the fact that the greatest, most successful habits were just as important as helping him write – if not more. His parents have just one goal for me: That when he attends Azusa Pacifica in Pre-Med, he will enter his first year of college already being above his peers. That if I could help him improve according to his father’s requirements, job done. But in order to go back and suggest another day, I genuinely feel that the greatest, most successsful habits – which my tutee is totally unfamiliar with – is even more important than simply helpin him write better. Fortunately, I did mention such habits in one of my early e-mails to his parents, though I don’t think they remember it at all. Nonetheless, this is my last chance, and I feel so privilege and honored to have a top 10 writer doing this paper – since it is definitely not easy. There are a slew of resources, which I spent about a month researching and perusing; buying, reading, and returning, etc. – and this left me with no doubt whatsoever that these timeless, great, successful habits are infinitely more important to my tutee, especially in pre-med and particularly in med school! I would like the conclusion to be that these greatest, timeless, successful habits are infinitely more important than merely tutoring writing or reading strategies which he seems to be making good, but ultimately slow and little progress. And we are down to almost the last month before he beigins!

These arguments and the best, researched sources I send you (in addition to any you feel will fit in persuading his parents that – although tutoring writing and reading should fill one session, a second session MUST focus on these habits. I’m not sure how these habit sessions would be, however. Perhaps book reviews? Book reports? I am confident that, with your expertise and being the creme of the crop, that you can fiill in these blanks much better than I. The thing is, whatever they write about in terms of habits, SHOULD mirror what they will be doing in their freshman year in wriitng. In other words, perhaps I can ask them to write essays about such habits? But I don’t even know that most common essay for a Freshman attending a private school for pre-med. I do know that they won’t jump into med right away, but will spend most of their first year doing essays and writing which I am thoroughly unfamiliar with.
