Compare and contrast at least two of the philosophers discussed in the text: Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, Burke, Mill, and/or Marx. Give examples of their philosophy being utilized in politics today. This may either be an active policy or the platforms or speeches of candidates.

Consider a preconceived perception you have about someone who comes from a different background. You have already developed a thesis statement and developed an outline in which you explored two (2) real-life international incidents from the past five (5) years involving the United States involving the United States as a world power. Now you will develop the final paper in which you explore your main points in detail.

Write a three to five (3-5) page paper in which you:

Introduce your paper with your previously crafted thesis statement.
Discuss two (2) international events involving the US military from the past five (5) years that can be traced back to a foreign policy created after the Civil War.
Discuss three (3) aspects of US history since 1865 that have led to the USA’s rise as a world super power policeman.
Identify three to five (3-5) international incidents since World War II where America has taken on a policing role.
Determine three to five (3-5) driving forces that fueled international policy decisions involving the international incidents you outlined previously. (Consider treaties, exit strategies, elections, wars, etc.)
Use at least three (3) academic references besides or in addition to the textbook. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.

This is a MICROECONOMICS essay. Please write about the essay around the MICROECONOMICS. On the other hand, I sent you the rules in the Word. Option #1: Reader-Response Essay

Read “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings” by Gabriel García Márquez (in the course textbook and attached below). Reflect and respond to the story in a 3- to 4-page reader-response essay.

Remember that reader-response essays are less formal than other types of academic writing. You may use the personal pronoun “I” and may write about whatever strikes you from the story. You may also choose to write from one of the following prompts:

Explain how “good” and “evil” co-exist in this story, and which one you think wins out in the end. Use specific lines of text from the story to support your assertion.
Was the old man with the enormous wings truly an angel? Why or why not? Use specific lines of text from the story to support your assertion.
Gabriel García Márquez is said to have fathered the genre of “magical realism” with this story. What parts of the story felt magical to you and what parts felt real? Does the fact that Márquez is a South American writer have any influence on the developments of this story? Does its international setting have any impact on the reader’s potential understanding of the story?

Assignment 3: Ethical Climate Survey

· A study by the U.S. Sentencing Commission recognized the importance of organizational culture and its impact on an organization’s commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with the law (LRN, 2006). Imagine that a business of your choosing is concerned about recent ethical breaches by its employees. The business has hired you as a consultant to evaluate the current ethical climate of the organization. The leadership has requested that you to develop a comprehensive survey that the business can use to determine the ethical climate of the organization. Note: You may create and / or make all necessary assumptions needed for the completion of this assignment.

In preparation for this assignment, read the article titled “Measuring Your Organization’s Climate for Ethics: The Survey Approach”. Write a four to six (4-6) page paper in which you:

Provide a brief (one [1] paragraph) description of the organization for which you are providing consulting services.
Recommend key steps that the organization can take to create a strong culture.
Develop an introduction paragraph to the survey explaining the tie between organizational culture and ethical conduct.
Designate at least two (2) groups within the organization who will take the survey, and provide a rationale as to why these two (2) groups should complete the survey.
