Case Study: Phase Separations Solutions (PS2): The China Question

Read the case study located on page 310 of the section titled Case Studies in your textbook and prepare a 4-6-page report in Microsoft, based on the following situation:

Entrepreneurial firm, PS2, has been presented with two opportunities to significantly expand their business in China. Paul Antle, President and CEO of PS2, has come to you asking for your advice regarding these opportunities. Review the information available to you in the case and write a response to Mr. Antle’s questions:

Should PS2 enter the Chinese market?
Which opportunity should PS2 pursue?
Could PS2 pursue both opportunities? Should they?
Did PS2 possess the required resources and capabilities to pursue an equity-based entry?

TOPIC: How is community both antithetical to and supportive of individuality in the works we’ve read this semester? You can define community in any way you see fit, be it family or “society” or humanity. The central text for this assignment should be Go Set A Watchman. First decide what aspect of the individual in relation to his/her community you wish to focus on. The novel is obviously about race, but it’s also about family dynamics, and about regional identity, and about generation gaps. And all of the texts we have read have been about multiple concepts like that, all contemporary concerns.

Create 3 to 4 diagrams to model a software system that you are familiar with. These diagrams should meet at least these criteria below:

Private and public organizations have both utilized a number of pre-employment testing tools (or tests) over the years to select individuals for employment within their organization. For example, two of the more common tests are honesty and integrity tests and personality tests. Quite simply, the first of these two tests tries to exclude those people who are not honest and who might be involved in theft from the organization, as well as to try to find those who would be compatible with other employees in the organization. Job personality, on the other hand, will test people against a series of personality dimensions like eroticism, extroversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness.

The Code of Ethics and Evaluation Paper is a significant project for this course. To stay on track, this assignment asks you to create an outline. Please review the Course Project in Unit VII, titled Code of Ethics and Evaluation Paper. An outline is a great way to organize the ideas that you want to communicate within a paper, or any form of writing. For your outline, include the following:

1. Identify the topic. The topic of your paper is important. Try to sum up the point of your paper in one sentence or phrase that is original and topic focused, well developed, and thought provoking. This will help your paper stay focused on the main point.

2. Identify the main categories. What main points will you cover? The introduction usually introduces all of your main points, should flow logically, and is effectively linked to the main topic. Then the rest of paper can be spent developing those points.

3. Create the first category. What is the first point you want to cover? If the paper centers around a complicated term, a definition is often a good place to start. For a paper about a particular theory, giving the general background on the theory can be a good place to begin.

4. Create subcategories. After you have the main point, create points under it that provide support for the main point. The number of subcategories that you use depends on the amount of information you are going to cover; there is no right or wrong number to use as long as each point is compelling or persuasive in support of the main category. Keep in mind there are 15 content areas to the course project.
