Discuss 4 articles that talk about the benefits of the Caregivers Robots in family.

Attatched are 4

Attatched are 4 articles that talk about the benefits of the Caregivers Robots in family. Look for two benefits from two seprated articles and look for a supporting quote. You’ll need the 2 quotes about any two benifits to write the two paragraphs.

Example: In paragraph 1 you’ll choose from one article one quote that support Benefit one. For example lets say the benifit you found and want to talk about is (fast service). You copy what the author said without changeing his words and paste it AS IT IS. Then you start writing the paragraph in this way:

Paragraph1: Benefit one

1. Intro to the quote: Look at the quote you chose and what the autor said about it and write an intro before it. (Introduction about the quote).

2: The quote it self: According to ….. and the quote that you have found about Benifit one.

3: Explaining the quote: Talk about the quote with your own words. Explain it more.

4: Experience: It could be a reasearch or an experince you heard about, a movie or anything. But it has to be an experince you had. Like you need to start with the word I. Example: There is this movie that I saw once OR I read a reasearch that was done about Robots shows.

Paragraph 2: Benefit two

1. Intro to the quote:  Look at the quote you chose and what the autor said about it and write an intro before it. (Introduction about the quote).

2: The quote it self: According to ….. and the quote that you have found about Benifit two.

You have 4 articles below. You need only two quotes from two articles only to support the two benefits.

Thats it!

NOTE: I want this asap. I want it SIMPLE and very BASIC. I want to read this for a 6th grade child and he will undrestand every word of it. IF this was not simple and basic and done in one hour. I will not accept it.

Helpful information
: The EC, electrical conductivity, is a measure of the total dissolved salts in a
system. For a wide range of soils, the followingf
solution to the osmotic pressure (Π) of the solution; Π(bars)= 0.36 x EC (dS/m). The EC unit is
decisiemen per meter.

Demonstrates original work, and where ideas or materials of others are used—including Web sites—work is not copied verbatim or paraphrased, and appropriate credit is given to the original source.

  • Follows APA 6 format and style unless another style and format is specified for a particular purpose.
  • Demonstrates original work, and where ideas or materials of others are used—including Web sites—work is not copied verbatim or paraphrased, and appropriate credit is given to the original source.
  • Contains an introduction, purpose, body with sense of audience, and conclusion.
  • Shows development, organization, and detail; the writing reveals the student’s ability to develop ideas with balanced and specific arguments.
  • Demonstrates coherence within and between paragraphs.
  • Reflects critical thinking, linking the specific to the general.
  • Contains appropriate sentence structure, punctuation, and is free from spelling errors.
  • Uses active voice (i.e., “The author used data…” Rather than “Data was used by the author…”).

Common grammatical errors

  • Run-on sentences. Look for the words “and,” “but,” “though,” “or,” and “as,” which often are used to connect sentences inappropriately.
  • Words or phrases that aren’t really words. Examples include “kind of,” “sort of,” “ain’t,” and “irregardless.”
  • Ending a sentence with a preposition. Prepositions include “of,” “to,” “for,” and “from.” When you find these words at the end of a sentence you need to rewrite it.
  • Misuse of “got.”  Often used erroneously in place of many words such as “have” or “acquired,” i.e., “I got the flu.” This should be written as “I have the flu,” “I acquired the flu,” or “I caught the flu.”
  • Misuse of “that.” To check for the misuse of this word, read the sentence omitting the word “that” and see if it still makes sense. If it makes sense without “that,” omit it.
  • Inappropriate use of commas. A comma should be used to separate two independent clauses joined by a conjunction, e.g., “The nurse assessed the situation early in the morning, but she failed to check again after lunch.”
  • Improper tense. Incorrect: “The housekeeping staff done it.” Correct: “The housekeeping staff did it.” Incorrect: “The student seen the mistake.” Correct: “The student saw the mistake.”
  • Incorrect use of possessives. Example: “The two RN’s went on break.” This is plural not possessive so it should be, “The two RNs went on break.” Example: “The 1800’s were a time of great change.” This is not a possessive and does not need an apostrophe: “The 1800s were a time of great change.”
  • “Unparallel” lists. Both bulleted and numbered lists should be parallel in format. This means that the first word should be of the same form such as all nouns, gerunds, or verbs. (Also keep in mind that numbered lists are for things done in sequence, whereas bulleted lists for simply for a collection of individual items.) For example:

  1. Scrubs floors
  2. Dusts desks
  3. Empties waste cans
  4. Collects forgotten items

or

  • Washing windows
  • Drying dishes
  • Scrubbing floors
  • Dusting bric-a-brac

  • Misuse of “myself,” “me,” and “I.” Example: “There was a disagreement between Roger and myself.” This should be, “There was a disagreement between Roger and me.” Example: “Roger and me went to the store.” This should be, “Roger and I went to the store.”  You can check by leaving “Roger” out of the sentence, i.e., “I went to the store” makes sense whereas “Me went to the store” does not make sense.
  • Misplaced punctuation. Commas and periods should be placed inside quotation marks (see examples throughout this document).
  • Mismatched singular and plural forms of words. For example, “Each student read aloud their own paper.” “Each” is singular and must be paired with a singular pronoun: “Each student read aloud his/her own paper.”
  • Omitting the final comma in a series. Incorrect: The girls played hopscotch, jumped rope and threw the ball. Correct: The girls played hopscotch, jumped rope, and threw the ball.
  • The wrong word. “Loose” vs. “lose”: The rug is loose; you lose a tooth. “They’re,” “there,” and “their.” “They’re over there doing their own thing.” “Different than” is always incorrect. “Different from” compares things: “Your car is different from mine.”
  • Misuse of “that” and “which.” “That” is used with essential clauses and is not set off with a comma; “which” is used with non-essential clauses and is always set off with a comma. For example: “The book that I gave you last is week is great.” “The book, which I gave you last week, is very funny.” Writers often use “which” because it sounds more “professional.” An exception: Alternate that and which in a sentence when both is used. For example: “A course which is required is often perceived as boring, but one that is necessary.”

Tips

  • Always spell check! It’s free and easy. You can set your computer to do it automatically. Ask IT if you need advice regarding setting spell check up on your home computer.
  • Always Proofread! Spell check alone is never enough, as this sentence demonstrates: “The plane truth is that their always write.” Always read back through what you wrote slowly so you can catch mistakes. Computers aren’t good at catching words that sound alike; for a good list, visit http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/660/01/ .
  • Repeated words are difficult to spot. Repeated words, especially when they occur at the end of one line and then at the beginning of the next, are difficult to spot. Reading word-by-word beginning at the end of the sentence helps to catch these errors.
  • Read aloud. Our eyes skim over errors when we know our topic well and are reading silently. Reading aloud often causes our ears to hear things that aren’t quite right.
  • Put it down and come back later. Too many hours of writing, editing, and reading often make us blind, deaf, and dumb. Set your work aside and come back to it when you’re fresh.

Health Policy Paper Guide/ Check Sheet:

APA Format required for paper.   Double space please.  Include running head, title page and reference page. Use subtitles within the paper to clearly identify each section to help keep you on tract. Paper should not exceed 7 pages excluding title, reference pages and page with abstract.

You are encouraged to find and read the proposed policy so you have a better understanding of the content.   DO NOT use the Affordable Care Act in its entirety.  You may use sections of the act.

Title page

   Abstract:

Be sure and include in the abstract the name of the policy you are addressing and briefly what the paper will discuss.   Abstracts should be brief generally 150 words or less.

Context:

From the literature, discuss the issues the policy is designed to address.   You must have a minimum of 4 sources to develop the context.   Be sure and include both the pros and cons of the issue.   For example, if you are discussing safe staffing, there is literature which supports this effort and other literature which shows that additional staffing really does not impact patient outcomes.  You would want to include both sides in your discussion.

In this section you should clearly and thoroughly discusses the background of the issue, including significance of the problem. Discuss previous actions or solutions, stakeholders and how issue should be addressed. The paper should show a clear central idea and follows a logical flow.

Policy Goals and Options and Evaluation of Options.   NOTE:  On the rubric these are listed as separate sections but you may combine them if so desired.

Identify the policy and discuss the objectives of policy, detailed options and alternatives of the policy.  You must use the sources from the literature to effectively support the paper.

You must identify a minimum of two options or alternatives to the policy and thoroughly discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each of the options/ alternatives identified.    Remember doing nothing or maintaining the status quo is an option.   You should also consider the financial impact of the options/ alternatives identified.    For example, one of the reasons safe staffing has never been passed on the national level is the fiscal burden it might create.  So what are the options/ alternatives to ensure safe patient care?

Conclusion:

Summarize your discussion and draw conclusions regarding recommendations and limitations of the policy.

Reference Page:   Use APA Format

Policy Issue Paper

Choose an issue that you are interested in and write a paper that would indicate a need for a policy.  Your issue may be one that has a local, state, national or international impact. The following web site is a good source for identifying issues:  http://kaiseredu.org/ or the ANA website especially rnaction.org     See the legislative issues sponsored by the ANA. These are usually great policy issues to adapt for local or state adoption.  Please post your paper using a word document in the Drop Box for rough drafts and under assignments for your final paper

Be sure to include the following:

  1. Context – Identify the problem and discuss the background of the issue.  Discuss the significance of the problem.  What efforts have been taken in the past to solve the problem?  Who are the stakeholders and how should this issue be addressed?

  1. Policy Goals and Options – What are the objectives of the policy?  What are the options and alternatives of the policy?

  1. Evaluation of Policy Options and Alternatives – Evaluate the criteria.  Analyze and compare the policy’s alternatives.

  1. Conclusion/Recommendations/Solutions – Summarize your finding and make conclusions.  Include limitations of the plan and potential consequences.

The policy paper should be 5 – 7 pages in length (not including face sheet and references).

The paper must follow APA format, this includes an abstract. I have included a Power-Point under the Resources tab of Oncourse as well as a sample paper. For those of you who have access to the recommended Dunn text, it has a chapter on writing a policy issue paper.

Please see grading rubric under resources

4.Profile the following four individuals who helped to reshape America from 1867-1912. They are as follows – Samuel Gompers, Booker T. Washington, Ida B Wells, and Jacob Riis.

Discuss the information on the problem and integrate the information from all your sources into an analysis of the central issues in your case.

Problem analysis– Select an actual problem/ issue from a LOCAL organization that you have read about or have seen/ uncovered in the organization that you are interviewing.  Gather information on the problem and integrate the information from all your sources into an analysis of the central issues in your case. Your writing should focus on problem or problems identification and evidence supporting your interpretation of the problem or problems

Application of Customer Relations in BusinessTheories and Concepts: Select theories and concepts from the organizational behavior textbook that offer guidance in solving these problems. Justify your choice of theories and explain their relevance. The textbook is a starting point but you must not rely solely on your textbook as a source of information about organizational behavior. Peer reviewed articles are recommended.  Be sure to include a list of references with your paper.

Suggested Solutions– Outline the steps that the key decision-maker(s) should take and justify your suggestions. Your suggested plan of action must be derived from the theories you have discussed. In some cases, you must develop a solution that integrates across more than one theory. Your plan of action must be specific and include enough detail that the decision-maker(s) could begin implementation.

Explain the method of random selection (Do not simply say “telephone survey.”

Answer all questions completely. You should answer the questions in essay form, providing an ARGUMENT for why your “strong” poll should be considered strong, and why your “weak” poll should be considered weak. Your essay should be a minimum of 1000 words, not including your “Works Cited” section at the end of your essay.

Find two public opinion polls from 2012 or 2013, one of which offers weak support for its conclusion, the other of which offers strong support for its conclusion. Answer the following questions about each of the polls:

  1. What is the property in question (what question is asked of the sample population)?
  2. What is the sample size, and is the sample size large enough to avoid hastiness?
  3. From where was the sample population taken (what types of people are included in the sample)?
  4. What was the methodology in selecting the sample? Was it randomly selected? If so, explain the precise method of random selection (Do not simply say “telephone survey.” Do not simply say “randomly selected telephone survey. Be specific! Do not say “the survey did not say how the sample was selected.” Choose a survey from a polling organization that does reveal the method of selecting the sample, or do research on the survey or polling organization by going to their web site.  You must have a precise and detailed answer to this question! See the sample assignment submission PDF for an example of how this question can be answered relatively successfully.) Or was the sample selected in some other way, i.e. self-selection?
  5. Were there any opportunities for bias (as defined in chapter 10) to creep into the sample? Explain.
  6. What is the target population?
  7. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being very weak, 10 being very strong), what numerical value would you assign to the poll? Briefly explain your answer.

A management information system (MIS) is a computerized database of financial information. This database is organized and programmed in such a way that regular or special reports can be produced on any operations for every level of management within a company. In order to provide past, present and prediction information, a management information system can include software that helps in decision-making, data resources such as databases, the hardware resources of a system, decision support systems, people management and project management applications, and any computerized processes that enable the department to run efficiently. Some of the systems of the MIS are Sales management, Inventory control, Budgeting, Management Reporting, and Personnel/ Human Resources. A Geographic Information System (GIS) is a computer system for capturing, storing, checking, and displaying data related to positions on Earth’s surface. GIS can show many different kinds of data on one map, this enables people to more easily see, analyze, and understand patterns and relationships. Google is the known company who utilizes this system. Most people today use the interactive maps found on your smartphone, car GPS’s or on the computer which all uses the GIS technology.

According to Stair and Reynolds, a management information system (MIS) is “an integrated collection of people, procedures, databases, and devices that provide managers and decision makers with information to help achieve organizational goals.” Having the right information, in a useful format, and at the right time can give a company a competitive advantage over another (Stair & Reynolds, 2014). There are different subsystems of MIS that cater to the different needs an organization might have.
Financial MIS deals with the financial aspect of the business. It can provide information on stocks and help with loans. Financial MIS also monitors and controls the use of funds.
Manufacturing MIS deals with the production of goods. It monitors and controls the flow of services, materials, and products in the organization from taking inventory control, helping with design and engineering, to testing the quality of the product.
Marketing MIS helps with the development of a good or service, as well as promoting it. It does research of latest trends based on surveys and studies, helps with converting raw materials into a finished product, aids in promoting and advertising, and assists in setting the price.
Geographic information systems (GIS) takes all of the relevant data and presents it in graphically based on its location. This tool can be very useful to determine where to open a new business or to see the usefulness of a product based on location.

According to Stair and Reynolds (2014), a decision support system is an organized collection of people, procedures, software, databases, and devices used to help make decisions that solve problems (p. 316).
When it comes to Facebook the things that appeal to me are usually the posts from friends. I actually really hate all the ads and garbage that is put up. It has caused me to sign in less and less. As far as whether a DSS could make Facebook better, I suppose it could. It could figure out a way to save money for Facebook and more efficiently advertise to the world. As it continues to grow it will be a prime target for hackers, so having a system to combat situations like that will be useful.
One of the characteristics of a DSS, according to Stair and Reynolds (2014) is that it offers both textual and graphical orientation (p. 317). This would be beneficial to social media. Figuring out what pops to the consumer and user and constantly update the interface to be the most appealing.
Stair, R., & Reynolds, G. (2014). Fundamentals of information systems(7th ed., International ed.). Boston, MA: Course Technology, Cengage Learning.

“A decision support system (DSS) is an organized collection of people, procedures, software, databases, and devices used to help make decisions that solve problems” (Stair & Reynolds, 2014, p. 316). “The user interface, or dialogue manager, allows users to interact with the DSS to obtain information” (Stair & Reynolds, 2014, p. 322).
The utilization of a DSS within social networking can allow for quick access to information which can solve potential issues users are having. A DSS within a social network would have an immense amount of information to collect from and turn into solutions. It could be used to get people looking for services, the problem, to service providers, the solution.

Describe the “Introduction to the Miller Family document.”

Prior to engaging in this discussion, read Chapters 7 and 8 in your text as well as the articles by Clark, et al. (2013) and Cummins (2013). It is highly recommended that you also watch one or two of the videos on mental illness from the TED playlist, All kinds of minds (9 talks), as these provide valuable insights into a variety of disorders and the issues associated with them.

For this discussion, refer to the information in the “Introduction to the Miller Family document.” Lucy Miller is a 20-year-old college student who has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.  Sarah Miller, her mother, recalls that as a teen, Lucy would get very talkative at night and couldn’t go to sleep.  Sarah also recalled that Lucy was kicked off the cheerleading squad when her GPA fell below 3.0, and that during this time, Lucy’s friends were being mean to her. When this occurred, Lucy was “really down” for a couple of months.  She didn’t want to talk to a counselor and she told her mother Sarah that she would be fine. Lucy blamed the entire situation on the issues with the girls in her class. However, coping with the mood swings became increasingly difficult for her. Lucy began experimenting casually with illegal drugs and found that they helped. Unfortunately, she kept getting them from friends at school and has now become addicted to them.

Examine the potential biological basis for Lucy’s psychological disorder. What, if anything, in her family history might point to this issue being hereditary?  Be sure to apply basic medical terminology where appropriate. Consider the biases that are often held regarding mental illness.  How much volition is involved in mental illness?  How much is related to environment and genetics?  Do we think about mental illness differently when we know the person well versus if the person is a stranger (e.g., a homeless individual or a panhandler on the street)?  Analyze the impact that our stage of lifespan development has on how we think of our own mental health and the mental health of others. What impact does it have on our associated behaviors and the long-term outcomes associated with the disorder?

Question 2

Prior to engaging in this discussion, review Chapters 7 and 8 in your text, read “Recovering Health Through Cultural Traditions” by Krohn (2013), and review any relevant Instructor Guidance.

Refer to the information in the “Introduction to the Miller Family” document. For this discussion, choose one of the following family members currently experiencing issues with substance abuse and complete the discussion according to the instructions below.

Option 1:  Lucy Miller – As we learned in Discussion 1 this week, this 20-year-old college student has recently been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. As a coping mechanism for her wild mood changes, Lucy began experimenting with illegal drugs while still in high school and has now become addicted to them.

Option 2: Lucy’s younger brother, Josh, was recently discovered using marijuana.  His response to his parents when confronted was, “It’s just an herb!  Grandma Ella says as long as it is natural, it is good.”  In truth, Grandma Ella hasn’t said anything about marijuana and does not know that Josh has been using it.

Option 3: Sam Miller, Lucy and Josh’s uncle, is an alcoholic. He is 50 years old, divorced, and estranged from both his ex-wife and their only son. He’s had no contact with either of them for many years. Sam has a long history of work and legal problems related to drinking.  The family sees him as a “loser.”

After choosing one of the people above, analyze the biology of substance abuse and describe its potential for dependence in certain families and the outcomes of various behaviors.  Is it likely that Lucy, Josh, or Sam had a genetic predisposition to alcohol or substance addition? How does lifespan development make a difference in propensity to abuse substances?  How does the stage of life at which the abuse begins impact the user’s behaviors?
