An exploration of intelligence management opportunities for organizations in the UAE:

My dissertation consists 7 chapters& this is chapter 4This particular chapter is on research methodology and my professors comments on it as it is:( The Justification for selection of the chosen approach is not really there. You need to justify the methodology from the perspective of for example (i) similar approaches have been used in previous studies in the same area (ii) that the research agenda in the area of your study stipulates that the chosen method is now a preferred method (iii) or other reasons – for example because of the type of data you are looking for.I don\’t claim to be an expert in everything – but I have not heard of descriptive academic research pattern before. What precisely is it. Is it a methodology or an approach?It is not clear who exactly was sampled or the basis of the sampling. What decisions were made – how was information redundancy catered for.This section while a good stab really needs enhancement. You really need to look at the research methodology text go get clarity on expectations)

Describe the behaviourist approach in psychology and evaluate the research methods used by behaviourist psychologists.

This essay has been taken from a recent PSYB1 paper.

Describe the behaviourist approach in psychology and evaluate the research methods used by behaviourist psychologists.

Mark allocation, [AO1 = 5, AO2 = 5]

Here are some comments and suggestions from the mark scheme. I suggest that you incorporate these ideas into your answer:

AO1
Up to five marks for a description of the behaviourist approach in psychology.
Features may include
all behaviour is learned and can be best understood in terms of associations between stimulus and response.
Behaviour is determined by our interactions and experiences in the environment. Candidates may refer to the principles of both classical and operant conditioning in their response.
Classical conditioning temporal associations between neutral stimulus and unconditioned stimulus (credit diagrammatic representation).
Operant conditioning the use of consequences /reinforcement to shape behaviour.

Credit up to three marks for description of studies and/or research methods.

AO3
Up to five marks for an evaluation of the research methods used by behaviourist psychologists.

Candidates are likely to refer to the controlled experimental methods and use of animals by behaviourists in their response.
Controlled experimental methods:
Strengths
establish cause and effect;
manipulate IV;
control for extraneous variables;
scientific methods;
objectivity, etc.
Limitations
artificiality of controlled experiments;
lacks ecological validity;
representativeness, etc.

Use of animals:
Strengths
short gestation period;
more ethical than using humans;
generalisability to human behaviour, etc.
Limitations
crude to extrapolate findings to explain human behaviour;
lacks generalisability;
representativeness, etc.

Make sure that you do not simply copy these bullet points down, you need to say what they mean. For example, what does it mean when we say that one of the limitations of using animals in research is that it lacks generalisability?

Essay, Ethics

In class, we talked about the MBA Oath, which you can find here:

http://mbaoath.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/MBA-Oath-to-Sign.pdf

And we talked about the Oath of Hippocrates, which you can find here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippocratic_Oath

We also discussed Fiduciary Duty at some length and even went through a powerpoint describing same.

And we talked again, at some length about different types of truth (logical, empirical, authoritarian, and emotional).

Finally, we have discussed the structure and efficiency of markets, and the various inefficiencies that can arise within them.

Now, read the MBA Oath carefully clause by clause and answer the following questions:

1.Is the MBA Oath consistent with our conventional ideas of fiduciary duty for executives in for-profit businesses? Why or why not?
2.Why would a profession such as management or medicine even bother to promulgate a Professional Oath? What problem are they trying to solve?
3.When and why was the professional of public accountant created in the USA?
4.Please draft a CPA Oath, which speaks to the role of public accountants, addresses the challenges of the professional among its clients and society, and incorporates an historical understanding of the field of public accountancy. This Oath should not be longer than one page.
5.In 2-3 pages of closely reasoned text, explain why you wrote the CPA Oath as you did. How does your Oath answer to the needs of the profession?

Therefore, 1 page for answering the questions
1 page for CPA oath drafting
2-3 pages of explanations

Please read the notes and the Essay I uploaded closely and use the concepts in the notes to finish this work. No outside reference needed.

pathophysiology

Topic: Ms. Blair (Case Study B)At age 40, Ms. Blair could easily be mistaken for a woman in her late 20s. She was fit and thin, a committed long-distance runner, and a mother of two boys. She was also embarrassed to describe her reason for coming to her physician.For several months, each time Ms. Blair finished her run, she felt an uncontrollable urge to urinate. This happened as soon as she stopped running. She would try to suppress the urge, but could not, and would void a small amount of urine while still dressed in her running clothes and before she could enter her home. This did not happen at any other times during the day, or at night—it only occurred the moment that she ended a run.In addition to feeling uneasy about discussing the problem, she was anxious, because she thought she might have a tumor. She had no known health problems, took no medications, did not smoke, ate a healthy diet, and assumed that this problem came “out of the blue” because she must have a serious condition such as a tumor in her urinary tract.A cystourethrogram, or X-ray of the bladder, was obtained, along with urinalysis and urine cultures. Physical examination was normal. The main diagnostic aid was the history, particularly the details about exactly when incontinence occurred. Ms. Blair did not have the incontinence risk factors of being overweight, smoking, or other diseases, but she did have two risk factors: female gender and advancing age. In addition, changes resulting from pregnancy can weaken the sphincter muscle.QUESTIONS: What type of incontinence did Ms. Blair have? Explain your answer.
