America’s Pursuit of Power In The Middle East by Geoffrey Wawro.

I am a Freshman student and English is my second language. For this paper, I am asking to analyze the chapter. In the booh ( QUICKSAND America’s Pursuit of Power In The Middle East by Geoffrey Wawro ( you can find it online ) Let me know if you didnt find the book ___________________________________________________________________ As you write your paper, please pay attention to the following stylistic issues and read them carefully: Title (Is it generic? Or does it reflect the central argument of the essay?) Introduction (Is it a good road map? Does it set up the piece clearly? Does it give the reader a clear sense of the topic and its significance?) Thesis statement (Does the introduction end in a clear and specific main argument, aka the central point that will run through the piece? Does the reader have a clear understanding of exactly what is being communicated when s/he gets to the end of the introduction?) Topic sentences (Topic sentences are the thesis statements for each paragraph. They introduce the main point of the paragraph as well as tie the paragraph back to the thesis statement (main/central point) so that the reader can continue to follow the flow of the argument. Do the topic sentences introduce the main point of the paragraph? Do they relate back to the thesis?) Body paragraphs and evidence Each paragraph should have a single idea that supports the main point of the paper. Paragraphs provide evidence from a variety of sources to support the point the author is making. (Do the body paragraphs do this effectively? Is there a good balance between the author’s analysis and the examples s/he provides to back up each point? Are the paragraphs coherent? Well developed?) Evidence and citations Quotes are not effective when simply dropped into the essay. They need to be introduced, contextualized and integrated. They also need to be selected thoughtfully. (Does the author use thoughtful examples? Are they simply dropped into the body? Or they introduced and contextualized as to provide enough information for the reader to understand exactly why a certain example is being used? Are proper citations (MLA with page numbers and/or time stamps) provided for the examples? In other words, does the reader know exactly where to find the information if s/he wants to look up the evidence?) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Note for writer: PLEASE and PLEASE do not give me a summary of the chapter, because I once requested a paper and the writer just gave me a summary and my professor failed me. Please write the paper accordingly to what I wrote up and Thank you very very much! I Uploaded The instruction Sheet you need to follow, and THE CHAPTER YOU HAVE TO FOCUSE IN IS CHAPTER 14 ( DESERT STORM ), BUT TRY TO HAVE A BACKGROUND ABOUT THE PREVIOUS CHAPTERS

What theories of management can explain what happened.

The individual written assignment will take the form of individual reflection upon some aspect of your personal experience of management and organisations.

Throughout the module, and from your previous educational and work experiences, you will be exposed to various activities associated with Organisations and People, such as being recruited, managing employees, training and development, dealing with work-place relationships etc. Think about how management and organisation behaviour relates to you: have you been an employee; have you been a manager; how have you dealt with work-related conflict, perhaps during group-based assignments at university or work? These are all potential areas for you to reflect on. You are now required to write a reflective essay that

(a) makes use of the relevant theory to provide a detailed analysis of one aspect of your experience of management and organisation behaviour and

(b) considers the implications of your analysis for the effective management of people within organisations.

In practice, this means answering four simple questions (these may even be the headings you use in your individual assignment!):

What happened to me eg during a job interview, training session, appraisal meeting, or during group work? Give brief details of the context.
What worked well/not so well? Why might this have happened? What did I learn? What would I do differently next time?
What theories of management can explain what happened?
What could line managers and/or Human Resource professionals do to ensure things (continue to) work well in future and/or prevent such problems?

For example, your reflective essay may address one of the following topics:

A management training and development session
A performance review with your supervisor/line manager
A grievance with a colleague
Being selected for a talent development programme
Conflict within your group (at university or work organisation)
Cross-generational working
Issues surrounding group leadership/management (or a lack thereof!)
The impact of culture on group work

You need not be constrained by this list and should focus on a topic that you are interested in studying (and writing about) in detail.

A high quality reflective essay will involve:

Meeting the terms of reference (objectives a and b)
Excellent presentation and layout (style and structure)
The ability to undertake constructive/honest self-reflection (openness, clarity and realism of reflective critique)
The ability to analyse and provide explanations, linking to relevant literature
An overall grasp and understanding of the processes involved.

3. The presentation must contain audio, and I must hear your voice.
Your business report is a very detailed assignment, and its an important one because it requires you to put your ideas on paper and begin thinking conscientiously. The presentation is your opportunity to explain your analysis and recommendations. It consists of two parts: an overview and recommendations.
In the Overview section of the presentation, you must explain the following:
1. Essential background information about the company.
2. Purpose of the report, including an implicitor explicitproblem.
3. Your analysis of the problem.
I will evaluate your report when you are presenting the Overview according to the questions below:
How well did you research the company and its most important concerns? To what extent did you answer the questions in the assignment prompt?
What examples did you provide?
What evidence did you provide to support your points?
In the Recommendations section of the presentation, I will evaluate your ability to present your solutions in a logical, persuasive manner. Assume I am the CEO and you need to persuade me to accept your recommendations. The vast majority of your grade is based on the argument you make and your use of evidence, research, and analysis to support it. I will evaluate your report when you are presenting the recommendations according to the questions below:
Are the recommendations clear and consistent with the analysis provided in the overview section?
How well do you support your points with evidence and research?
Are the recommendations feasible and realistic?
Did you effectively anticipate the CEOs concerns and address them in the presentation?
I will attach a file that I wrote for my business report. Because the presentation will be relied on my paper.

Describes the latest developments in a conflict, issue, or other major event in this region.

Countries in the NASWA region are in the news quite often, especially since the Arab Spring uprisings of 2011 toppled a few governments, as the civil war in Syria has continued, as the Israeli/Palestinian has escalated, and as ISIS has entered the already unstable Iraqi political landscape.

For this forum, find a recent news article (let’s try to make this very current with an article from 2014) that describes the latest developments in a conflict, issue, or other major event in this region. Provide a brief summary of the conflict/issue/event that your article describes. Hopefully, we’ll get a broad range of topics in this forum and we’ll all learn a little bit more about what’s going on in this complex realm.

Article summaries must be paraphrased in your own words to avoid plagiarism.

———————————————————————————————————-

You do not need to find a scholarly journal article for this and similar forum assignments. Articles from major newspapers or news organizations available online will work well. I recommend the New York Times, the BBC World Service, National Public Radio, Time, CNN, The Economist, etc. Try to stay away from blogs and opinion-based websites.

Remember, the minimum requirements are: initial forum posts must be at least 250 words long
