Analyze at least 3 (three) items on the income statement for your base company(Southwest Airlines) that would be important to an investor, and discuss whether your companys performance related to these items appeared to be improving, deteriorating, or remaining stable. Justify your answer. (You may find some evidence or statistics from internet, and don’t forget use the citations)

Calculate the misprediction and successful prediction rates for each technique and print out the results.

Write a program in any high level programming language to perform the following:
1. Read a text file containing a sequence of branches, for each branch, predict the branch to be taken based on the three branch prediction techniques:
a. Static – Predict Taken
b. Static – Predict Not Taken
c. Dynamic Branch Prediction 1

6-state scheme where change prediction only if get misprediction three times
2. For each branch prediction, increment a branch prediction stall counter according to the following:
Prediction Correct Prediction Incorrect
Predict Taken 0 2
Predict Not Taken 0 3

3. Calculate the misprediction and successful prediction rates for each technique and print out the results. Also print a report on total cycles added to each program’s execution due to control hazards.

A sample output for dynamic branch prediction technique is shown below:

Dynamic Branch Prediction

Read 80 points

40 successes in 80 branches => 50% success rate

Total number of branch hazard cycles: xxx

Run the program for the three attached input files and collect the program outputs in a Word file. Also in your file answer the following:

1. What technique gives the best performance for a single test case? Why?
2. What technique gives the worst performance for a single test case? Why?
3. What technique gives the best performance ON THE AVERAGE for a all test cases? Why?

4. Based on answers above, what technique is the most flexible? You must submit:
1. A zip fie containing the following:
a. Your fully commented source file
b. The executable compiled from your source code. The executable should be compatible with a Windows™ based PC.
2. A Word file containing the screen shot of all your program runs, and the answers to the 4 questions above.

he course outline I am attaching contains the instructions of the assignment.

I am attaching several files. The course outline I am attaching contains the instructions of the assignment. It is called the Progressive Assignment. There are 3 parts to the assignment. Once part 1 and 2 are finished I would like to submit them to my TA for feedback before part 3 has begun. I am also attaching some examples of finished assignments and further tools to help. I have begun the assignment on my own and could send you what I have done if you would like, which would give you a head start. The research assignment also needs to be done in Vancouver referencing style. I will also attach a document on how that is done in case you are unaware. Also I would prefer if you used Pubmed, Cochrane Database, Alt Health Watch, and I have a list of several other we can discuss. This is mandatory for part 1 and I would be preferred throughout the assignment. Please follow the rubric closely and look to the examples provided to help.

Describe, in a paragraph, your interest in the subject 4 Problems you anticipate Submit your assignment by clicking on the link below.

Assignment 2: Research Prospectus With this assignment, you are beginning your work on your research paper. Research Papers distinguishes between a report and an argument (pp. 2-3). I will want your research paper to not only provide information about your topic, but to come to a conclusion about it, and make your case for that conclusion. What your topic will be, is completely up to you. It may be something about the literature we are covering in this class. It might have something to do with your major field of study. It might have something to do with an interest you have outside of school, or with an issue arising in current events. Just make sure that your paper is more than a report on your topic; that it comes to a clear conclusion about it. In a Word or RTF document, I would like you to provide me with a prospectus (p. 13) for your research paper: 1 A narrow topic that your paper will focus on 2 The working, or first-version thesis or hypothesis for your paper (covered on pages 10-13) 3 Describe, in a paragraph, your interest in the subject 4 Problems you anticipate Submit your assignment by clicking on the link below. 1) My narrow topic will be about the importance to acknowledge how technology is being used in different terms. It will also be about mass media conditioning and how it is portrayed. It is where the government has products that are not out there in the media, and hid from the nation or the people that are in the country. It also does not consult the wrong doings, which can help individuals notice what “reality” is. 2) First version thesis: How media is controlled by government officials and other corporations. How it is used and the false information that is given? 3) Sources to consult: News channels, online sources, books, newspapers, and individuals that work with the government. 4) Problems to anticipate: The way media deceives people, which hides the truth. Also, how the media displays information that are non existent or never happened.

Briefly describe the problem discussed in the article, the police strategy used to address the problem, the methods of the research article.

Students will be required to complete one five-page, double-spaced paper due on November 23rd. Papers will be written in APA format (see https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ for citation information and formatting) and will be graded for grammar and writing technique. The paper requires students to identify a problem facing a community in Louisville. The paper will highlight the problem, and identify an appropriate and feasible strategy for the police to address this problem. Students should select one peer-reviewed research study that is pertinent to their problem. Using this study, students will devise an evidence based solution to solve the problem. Students should summarize the study briefly, and discuss the COP strategy that was assessed in the study. Students will be required to outline their strategy, as well as the potential outcomes from implementing the strategy.

Due date: Prior to class on November 23rd. No late papers will be accepted. Paper must be submitted in both electronic and print format.

Steps to complete the paper:
1. Identify a problem that can be solved using community policing strategies in the Louisville Metropolitan area. Please use the topic approved by the professor this semester.
2. Once you have selected a community policing problem, find and read a peer-reviewed article that is related to the problem. You can locate peer-reviewed articles from the following sources:
a. Google scholar (must locate and find using Library database)
b. Evidence based policing matrix
3. While reading your article, try to identify the strategy used and whether or not it was effective to impact the specific problem you choose. From this strategy, devise a plan that will address the problem.
4. The paper should include:
a. Summary of the problem (2-3 paragraphs): Describe the problem you have identified supported by evidence that Louisville is facing this problem. This evidence can come from multiple sources: newspapers, LMPD website, Campus PD website, etc.
b. Summary of peer reviewed article (2-3 paragraphs): Summarize the peer reviewed study you find that addresses the problem. Briefly describe the problem discussed in the article, the police strategy used to address the problem, the methods of the research article (e.g., sample, police response) and the effectiveness of the program.
c. Strategy implementation and evaluation (2-3 paragraphs): Summarize the strategy you develop and include the following categories:
i. Strategy outline: discuss how you will implement your strategy with LMPD, including the treatment program and how this will be deployed into the community
ii. Outcome variables: discuss the variables you intend to change based on the implementation of your strategy (e.g., fear of crime, homicide rate, property crime rate)
iii. Hypotheses: discuss how you think your strategy will impact the community and why

You will be evaluated on a scale ranging from 1-20. The following components will be assessed:
1. Writing/Grammar/Format: Each student should write their manuscript according to APA guidelines. Moreover, the flow of writing, sentence structure, and grammar will impact your final grade. Specifically, higher scores will be earned by eliminating spelling errors, eliminating grammatical errors, and avoiding fragmented or run-on sentences
2. Summary of the problem: Each student should succinctly and clearly summarize the problem they choose to address. Complete summaries will include a discussion of the problem, accompanied by evidence supporting the existence of the problem (e.g., crime statistics, media attention, LMPD attention)
3. Summary of the peer reviewed article: Complete article summaries will include a discussion of the problem addressed by the article, the strategy implemented to address the problem, the methods used to evaluate the problem, and the effectiveness of the program implementation.
4. Strategy implementation and evaluation: Each student will be assessed based on the completeness of their strategy implementation. Complete strategies will incorporate an outline of the hypothetical program implementation, a discussion of the outcome variable, and hypotheses about how the implementation will impact the outcome variable
5. For each of these components, students will receive a score of 1-20. The score for each component will then be averaged to calculate the final grade for the paper
