Analyze and comment on how changes in terrorism and security will affect the possible future planning of Mega & Major events.

Task Details:
Individually prepare a 10minute voice annotated PowerPoint presentation in which you cover the following elements:
Examine various mega and major events and assess the impacts that terrorism has had on the security of these events (you need to compare and contract with those example!!)
Make reference to a broad range of planning and logistical theories to support the discussion
Analyze and comment on how changes in terrorism and security will affect the possible future
planning of Mega & Major events (it is means that you must analysis the past, current and future in terrorism and security!!!, moreover, you need to what technology will use in future, I mean that what the planing methods will use in mega events to ensure the safety.)
So the examples are: Sochi 2014 Olympics Game, the Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup, Rio 2016, Brazil 2014 World Cup.
Because this is 10 minutes voice annotated powerpoint presentation, it means I need record my own voice into the powerpoint, so please write down the words that peer page I need to say in the additional notes (this is very importance thing!!!), then I will record by myself.
This presentation’s form is like a report, so it is need have the content page, introduction, headings, subheadings and highlights. And must put the images, videos, hyperlinks of PDF on it.
I will put the example mega events in files, and also other requirements.

Analytical paper will be clearly written, explore and connect the relevant readings, include quotations and proper citations, and demonstrate critical analysis.

Imagine that an American woman had written Frankenstein… and that Frankensteins monster was portrayed as having dark skin. (You may, if you wish, imagine that the action took place in the U.S, rather than Europe, but otherwise the text should be considered as the same). Considering Ralph Ellisons analysis of racism in Shadow and Act, what might he have concluded about this alternate reality version of Mary Shelleys book? Do you think he would have approved of this imagery of a black body in the novel?

Papers should be provided in hard copy double-spaced and stapled.

A strong analytical paper will be clearly written, explore and connect the relevant readings, include quotations and proper citations, and demonstrate critical analysis.

You should provide a clear thesis statement presenting your argument near the beginning of your paper.

Citations must be included whenever you paraphrase (summarize) or quote from a source. As you will be expected to provide specific examples to support your arguments, all analytical papers should include citations. You are discouraged from using material outside the course (this is not a research paper), but if you do you must include full bibliographical information. In-text citation is acceptable for materials from the course, and should include the author and page number.

Discuss the obtained parameters and the intuition behind them.

Empirical Project

OVERVIEW
You are required to work individually on a research project. Although you should feel free to discuss aspects of your project with your fellow students if you wish, each student must be responsible for his/her own individual work. The project’s aim is to perform an econometric analysis of the time-series of equity returns in the US market.

All the data that will be required for the empirical analysis is available on Moodle in the spreadsheetEmpiricalProject_Data.xlsx.This file contains the time-series of monthly returns for 100 US equity portfolios in the sheet dependent. As a first step, each student must choose ONE out of the 100 portfolios, and this portfolio will constitute that student’s dependent variable of interest. Choosing a portfolio is not particularly important, so you might as well choose at random. The main idea here is that each student should be working with a different portfolio.

After selecting the equity portfolio of interest, you will conduct a preliminary analysis by providing some descriptive statistics for the time-series.
Then, you will estimate the following bivariate regression
, , = + +
Where , , is the excess return of the portfolio I that you have selected (provided in the spreadsheet) at time t, and is the excess return of the market. The above equation refers to the most widely known asset pricing model, namely the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM).

After estimating the CAPM regression, you will perform the following multivariate regression
, , = + 1 + 2 + 3 +

The above regression model is commonly referred to as the Fama and French 3-factor model, and it is a very well-established model in asset pricing. The SMB factor refers to the returns of a portfolio of Small stocks minus the returns of a portfolio of Large stocks(in terms of market capitalization). The HML factor refers to the returns of a portfolio of High-value stocks minus the returns of a portfolio of Low-value stocks(in terms of book-to-market value).

The time series of the 3 explanatory variables are provided in the sheet explanatory of EmpiricalProject_Data.xlsx. The sheet explanatory also contains 2 additional explanatory variables termed RMW and CMA. The RMW factor refers to the returns of a portfolio of Robust stocks minus the returns of a portfolio of Weak stocks (in terms of operating profitability). The CMA factor refers to the returns of a portfolio of Conservative stocks minus the returns of a portfolio of Aggressive stocks (in terms of investment). Together, all 5variables describe a more recent extension of the Fama and French model.

It is not mandatory to use these2extra variables in your empirical analysis in order to pass the coursework. However, estimating an extended version which includes the 3 initial factors plus the 2 additional factors might result in extra marks.

After estimating the regression models, you should
Discuss the obtained parameters and the intuition behind them. What is the relationship between the returns of your portfolio and each explanatory variable?
Perform hypothesis tests on the estimated parameters. Is there a statistically significant linear relationship between y and x?
Conduct diagnostic tests for each of your regressions.
Compare your results for each estimated model. Which model best fits your data?

Once you have completed your empirical analysis, you need to submit a report setting youre your findings. The report should include tables and graphs where relevant, and should clearly indicate what you have done and what your results mean. The report should not exceed 1,500 words (plus tables and graphs), and should focus on the interpretation of the empirical work rather than reproducing huge chunks of theory or merely presenting statistics without discussion.

Analysis of the sources, and dont actually answer the thesis in this section! You will do this later.

write down research and fact information on pre marshall plan western europe and post marshall plan. FOCUS ON THEIR ECONOMY.
B. Summary of Evidence (research) (500-600 words)
JUST THE FACTS.
Prove you did the research. Prove you looked through a variety of sources. Prove you didnt just sit at the computer and search the internet. Prove you were thorough. Prove you went to a museum and looked at the archives! You may even want to bullet the evidence, but make sure you write in sentence form (this helps your word count)! Whatever you do, make sure you cite all your sources. Be careful, only use something in your investigation if it is meaningful and provides evidence to help answer your question. Just using a laundry list of lots of facts and figures and quotes from lots of books or websites doesnt help. More is not better. I would suggest primary AND secondary sources for your research. Summarize, summarize, summarize.
Do not include your analysis of the sources, and dont actually answer the thesis in this section! You will do this later. It is just an organized summary of the facts you found from the sources you discovered in your research. You may include quotes if you want to, but make sure you put them in context. You dont have to use quotes though. I found this, and this, and this, and this.
Be careful – any information you use anywhere else in the paper must be presented in this section. You cant pull out new information and use it in your conclusion if it does not also appear in your summary of evidence!! All information you summarize should help prove what your conclusion is.
Any illustrations, documents, or other relevant evidence should be included in an appendix and will not be included in the word count.
This section MUST BE ORGANIZED (thematically or chronologically) and MUST BE REFERENCED and provide evidence of thorough research. It can be in either bulleted list or continuous prose.

Analysis and evaluation of management of challenges CARRYING THROUGH to the recommendations.

Individual written assignment (1500 words).
Task: Drawing on an entrepreneur or entrepreneurial firm of your choice, use scholarly research and relevant theory to evaluate their success in entrepreneurial terms.

50% on analysis and 50% from academic commentary

Focus on the 3 types of entrepreneurial environments – see feedback attached on the exact question and follow that format (Attachment: L1 Summative Assessment 2014-15 Generic Feedback)

highlighted articles on focus reading list are excellent sources please use them

I was informed by my professor that the essay is critically lacking in concept analysis, academic commentary and theory – these can be found in the slides provided and MUST be used alongside the analysis and evaluation to give credibility. The powerpoint slides I had attached previously and am attaching again have many academic commentaries/theories/concepts which can be used in addition to whatever you choose to use.

Further, the essay needs to take a VERY SPECIFIC FORMAT/SHAPE – Firstly, the CHALLENGES facing the entrepreneur need to be clearly identified and they need to be specific to the firm so specific implications can be discerned, followed by HOW the entrepreneur MANAGED the aforesaid challenges and what ACTIVITIES he took to achieve success/failure (in the essay you have chosen to take the stance of the entrepreneur being a success- so the analysis should reflect this as opposed to how badly the entrepreneur managed his challenges to result in failure). This must be done in each of the 3 entrepreneurial environments. This must be EVALUATED to determine the success or failure (success in this case) with suggested actions and judgements CONNECTED with the prior analysis. Secondly, RECOMMENDATIONS need to be made grounded in the aforesaid analysis. The recommendations should be an INTEGRATED set of RECOMMENDATIONS flowing from the PREVIOUS ANALYSIS- this will require identifying how the CHALLENGES are also interrelated/integrated in the previous analysis/evaluation.

There MUST be coherency and CONSISTENCY across the analysis and evaluation of management of challenges CARRYING THROUGH to the recommendations.

I have attached two articles useful for evaluation/ recognising challenges facing Uber on China and on Uber in France that reflect some of the key challenges facing Uber in terms of its regulatory challenges and challenges expanding internationally. A key challenge I think for Uber that needs to be pointed out more robustly is the fact that it is having problems engaging with regulators positively and this is impeding them severely.

What is key to this revision is1) formatting the content to satisfy the structure mentioned above, 2)academic commentaries/concepts/theories supporting the analysis/evaluation/recommendations.

Discuss stratsim simulation marketing strategy.

I need a paper about 6 pages about StratSim Marketing Simulation Game.( 1 pages for each decision period). For this paper, we suppose to write : -Recap of each period’s decision, what happened after our decision, how this decision affects our strategy.

I will share with you my StratSim tool username and password, so you will be able to see all the decisions and history of each period and at the same time competitors actions.

Explain how each of the three sociological perspectives (structural-functionalism, symbolic interaction ism, and social conflict) would analyze what you say.

The goal of field observation is to obtain “thick descriptions” (as described by Clifford Geertz in The Interpretation of Cultures) of a setting or group from the perspective of the participants, and to explain what you observe using insights from the sociological perspective.

Observe the activities at a public place for two hours. Choose a place where you do not need to ask permission to stay and will not get in trouble for observing what is going on. This can be a coffee shop, a farmer’s market, a mall, a religious service, a train station, a courtroom, etc. Avoid schools, hospitals, anything on a military base, or any other restricted place. Make sure to go at a time when there will be a lot of activity. Take some notes about what is happening: What does this place look like? How is it organized spatially? Who comes here? What do they do? How do people interact with each other? What kind of conversations go on? Are there any subgroups? How do people handle unexpected or upsetting situations?

Write a narrative summary of your notes describing what you experienced. Then, explain how each of the three sociological perspectives (structural-functionalism, symbolic interactionism, and social conflict) would analyze what you say. Your description of your observation should represent about 50% of your paper and your analysis another 50%, divided evenly between the three perspectives. At the end of your paper, discuss which perspective you think is the best suited to analyze your observation and why you think so. Whenever appropriate, link the information you present to concepts, theories, facts, and core values of “community and social justice” from the course.

You may use additional resources, provided they are appropriately cited. You are required to use the American Sociological Association (ASA) formatting style to format your paper and sources. Information on ASA is available in the course under Resources. For additional information on plagiarism, click here to view a 15-minute video lesson by Dr. Patricia Campion. You will be prompted to enter your SLU Portal username and password to gain access to the video. Once the video starts playing (may take a few minutes to load), forward it to Slide 28 titled, “Am I Plagiarizing? Why, or why not?” and view through Slide 195.

The paper will be a minimum of seven (7) pages in length and include a title page and a reference page, using a standard 12-point font. You may use additional resources, provided they are appropriately cited. You are required to use the American Sociological Association (ASA) formatting style to format your paper and sources. Information on ASA is available in the course under Resources.

Describe McKinnon in the context of the frameworks and theories of cyber-crime and cyber criminals discussed in the classroom.

Alleged computer hacker Gary McKinnon of the United Kingdom has publicly admitted to compromising computer systems belonging to NASA and the Department of Defense. Using information from your classroom, additional materials provided by your instructor, and your own independent research, discuss the impact of these widespread intrusions, and comment on McKinnon’s self-proclaimed motivations. Describe McKinnon in the context of the frameworks and theories of cyber-crime and cyber criminals discussed in the classroom. Are the efforts to extradite McKinnon to the United States simply a political stunt, or are they an important precedent in prosecuting international cyber-crimes? Finally, share what you know about computer security and best practices to make recommendations to prevent similar incidents in the future. Your submission should be a minimum of four pages in length, and it should conform to APA formatting and citation standards. A title page and reference list (APA style) are mandatory, but they will not count toward the four-page requirement.

Explain the significance of this quotation, which is taken from his magnum opus, Being and Time.

Heidegger writes rather cryptically that, “Everyone is the other, and no one is himself.” Explain the significance of this quotation, which is taken from his magnum opus, Being and Time. One would do well to consider his notion of Das Man (‘the They’ or ‘One’), as well as the necessary role of others in pursuing one’s ‘projects’ ‘in-the-world.’

Your response must be thorough and well-written, with references to the text.

Identify at least five strategies.

There are four domains in English Language Development (ELD): reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as described in Chapter 2 of your text. In this assignment, you will research the four domains and find effective instructional strategies utilized to facilitate ELD. Write a paper that includes the following:

  • Identify at least five strategies
  • A narrative describing each strategy
  • Assign each strategy a domain and justify why it is most effective in that domain
  • Summarize when each strategy should be used: early on as an English language learner, later as a long-term English learner, or both

The Paper

  • Must be two double-spaced pages in length, and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  • Must include a title page with the following:
    • Title of paper
    • Student’s name
    • Course name and number
    • Instructor’s name
    • Date submitted
  • Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
  • Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
  • Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
  • Must use at least one scholarly source (e.g., teacher resource book, journal article, professional website) in addition to the course text.
  • Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
  • Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
