Examine the key reasons why a business may not want to hold too much or too little working capital.

Discussion 1

  • * From the e-Activity, contrast the differences between a stock dividend and a stock split. Imagine that you are a stockholder in a company. Determine whether you would prefer to see the company that you researched declare a 100% stock dividend or declare a 2-for-1 split. Provide support for your answer with one (1) real-world example of your preference.
  • * From the scenario, examine the dividend rate that TFC is paying in order to determine if the company should receive a rate adjustment. Suggest whether TFC’s dividends should either (1) stay the same; (2) be increased; (3) or go down. Provide a rationale for your response.

e-Activity- Use the Internet to research a company that declared a 100% stock dividend or a 2-for-1 split.

Discussion 2

“Working Capital Management” Please respond to the following:

  • Examine the key reasons why a business may not want to hold too much or too little working capital. Provide two (2) examples that illustrate the consequences of either situation.
  • * From the scenario, analyze TFC’s cash budget to determine key methods in which the budget may be optimized (e.g., by renegotiating terms and conditions on some of its payables, etc.). If you believe that there is room for improvement, recommend key strategies for TFC to use in order to optimize its cash budget. If you do not believe that this is the case, provide a rationale for your response.

Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.

“”The essay demonstrates your ability to write clearly and concisely on a selected topic and helps you distinguish yourself in your own voice. What do you want the readers of your application to know about you apart from courses, grades, and test scores? Choose the option that best helps you answer that question and write an essay of no more than 650 words, using the prompt to inspire and structure your response. Remember: 650 words is your limit, not your goal. Use the full range if you need it, but don’t feel obligated to do so. (The application won’t accept a response shorter than 400 words.)”‘

Topics: (Choose only one)

1) The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

2) Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?

3) Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.

4) Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.

With school, 2 different sports, and 2 different jobs, you can see that I’m a very busy person. If you have any more question please send me a message and I’ll get back too you asap. Explain and illustrate Kant’s distinction between apriori and aposteori knowledge and also his distinction between empirical and synthetic judgments.

Kant famously–and controversially–argued that some knowledge is synthetic a priori. Can you explain in your own words what Kant might have meant by this, and can you give an example of the sort of knowledge that Kant believed possessed this strange status?

HINT: To answer this question in a clear and well-organized manner, you might want to first explain and illustrate Kant’s distinction between apriori and aposteori knowledge and also his distinction between empirical and synthetic judgments.

Please ensure that your essay addresses each component of the assigned questions and that your answer is well-organized, uses excellent, college-level prose, and makes judicious use of textual evidence. Your essay should be 600-900 words long.

Introduction to Evidence Based Practice
You are to research and read an article on evidence-based practice (EBP) and write a 500-word summary of the article you chose. The paper should be in APA format. Include citations and reference of the article you chose.

discuss what the disorder is (general description, types if different types exist, symptoms), and how one gets the disorder (possible causes, risk factors).

In at least 1000 words typed in proper APA format (including a 12-point font, double spacing, a title page, a reference page, in-text citations, a running header, page numbers, and an abstract page), you will write a review on any psychological disorder (can be an anxiety disorder, a mood disorder, a personality disorder, a somatoform disorder, a dissociative disorder, or even schizophrenia) of your choice.

One friendly piece of advice here is to choose a specific disorder versus a category of disorders. For example, instead of trying to do your essay on all personality disorders, you might choose just one personality disorder, such as avoidant personality disorder. That should make the paper more manageable.

First, you should discuss what the disorder is (general description, types if different types exist, symptoms), and how one gets the disorder (possible causes, risk factors).

Second, you should choose four of the perspectives listed in the textbook–psychodynamic, humanistic, behavioral, cognitive, group, biological–and discuss how a psychologist/doctor from each perspective would treat a patient with your disorder.

Part of this assignment will require you to enter the Grantham library. You should consider contacting the librarian (well before the due date) for help if you do not understand what peer-reviewed sources are or if you do not understand how to use the library functionally at Grantham.

You must include two peer-reviewed sources from an electronic journal within your essay, using at least some information from each of these sources within your writing. These sources should come from the Grantham library. You may use other resources, but at least two of your sources must come from the library and be peer-reviewed sources.

Your assignment should be at least 1000 words in length and should be presented in APA format, including a title page, in-text citations, a running header, page numbers, double spacing, and a reference page. Your assignment should use terms/references directly from the chapter, and all extra outside research must be properly cited.

Explain which method of job analysis you decided to use to analyze the new position in order to develop an understanding of its responsibilities.

In your role as the Human Resource Manager at Epic Health Solutions, you need to decide what job analysis method to use for the new position that is being created. Then you will do a brief job analysis to create the job description. In a 2-3 page report, prepared in APA style with at least two references, do the following:

  • Explain which method of job analysis you decided to use to analyze the new position in order to develop an understanding of its responsibilities.
  • Continue by creating the job description. Be sure to include the descriptive header, the summary, the major functions, and then the job-specifications.
  • Finish your report with an explanation of how you will use the job description to create the performance appraisal with the standards.

Explain the objection that happiness cannot be the rational purpose of life.

What is the foundation of morals? In other words, what does the theory ‘utilitarianism’ claim?

2) What are only things desirable as ends? What does it mean to say something is desirable as an end?

3) Egoism: the ethical doctrine that morality has its foundations in self-interest. Why is utilitarianism not egoism?

4) Why would someone say that “utilitarianism is a doctrine worthy of swine?”

5) What is Mill’s response to the objection that “utilitarianism is a doctrine worthy of swine?” (hint: he has three responses)

6) “It may be objected that many who are capable of the higher pleasures occasionally, under the influence of temptation, postpone them to the lower.” To what is this an objection? What is Mill’s response?

7) How is it possible to decide which are the best pleasures?

8) Explain the objection that happiness cannot be the rational purpose of life. Why would someone make this objection?
