Respond to these questions below:

– Describe how you would approach a proof that two infinite sets have the same cardinality. Examples you might consider include
|Z| |2Z|, |N| |N0|, or |(0,1)||R|.

– Explain the main ideas behind the argument that Q is a countably infinite set. What does it mean for a set to be countable?

– Explain the main ideas behind the argument that (0,1) [and hence R] is uncountably infinite. What does it mean for a set to be uncountable?

– What does it mean for one size of infinity to be larger than another?

– How would you explain these ideas to a person who has not studied mathematics at this level?

– Explain what the Continuum Hypothesis means and why this is important.

– Discuss the historical context and/or the philosophical implications of Cantors Theory*

The Functional Annnexes

I have attached the other two assignments that are supposed to go hand and hand in with assignment. Please follow instructions clearly. Thanksprovide more specific elaboration upon the specific area needing improvement that was identified in the Basic Plan assignment previously.In this assignment, much more elaboration is to be provided on the Operational issues needed to address the Hazard / Threat area, which the student has already identified as needing improvement or missing altogether, from the selected jurisdictional plan being reviewed by the student.The Outline used for this assignment is below:Concept of OperationsOrganization and Assignment of ResponsibilitiesCommunicationsFunding for the Operations (the Grant Proposal Assignment below).Please see section 5.1, of the FEMA document URL below, to review the Functional Annexes:http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/IS235B/IS235B.pdfThis section of the paper should be 3 to 5 pages in length double spaced and should provide both in text citations, as well as a reference list, that are both in alignment with APA 6th edition citation form and style.If you go over the page limit, no worries as this is your assignment and you may elaborate beyond the page limit if so desired.

What were the strengths and weaknesses of Hannibal as a general?

1) A clear argument, and you must tell me the argument and how you intend to make that argument in the introduction. Never drift from the argument. Your essay should have nothing that is off-topic.2) A clear structure. There should be an introduction, body and conclusion. The body should be made up of paragraphs and each of those paragraphs should be making a point that supports or builds your argument. Make sure that I understand the point of each paragraph. One way to ensure that your paragraph is making a clear, coherent point is to structure each paragraph with a first sentence introducing the point, further sentences that help you make that point (evidence, scholarly opinions, etc), and a final concluding sentence.3) Use the ancient literary sources as your evidence and reference them. The ancient literary evidence is very important. The degree to which one uses ancient literary sources depends on the topic. For a topic relating to politics or military history, the ancient literary evidence is the most important form of evidence and should be your main source of facts. For a political history or military history essay, use and cite the ancient sources for your facts and use modern scholarship for their interpretations and theories regarding the topic.4) If one is using archaeological evidence, and to varying degrees archaeological evidence is relevant to every topic, but especially art and religion, for example, you will of course be dependent on modern scholarship for that info, since you are not going out into the field yourselves. Use and cite the modern works when dealing with archaeological evidence.5) When not using the modern scholarship for archaeological evidence, use them primarily for their interpretations and theories regarding the topic, as I said in point 3. You can agree or disagree with them. Use their work to frame your own argument.6) Reference a lot. Every piece of evidence needs to be referenced. Every argument by a modern scholar that you use needs to be referenced. If it\’s something well-known/broad like, \’Hannibal beat the Romans at Cannae\’, then such a statement doesn\’t need referencing, but if you want to discuss that battle in detail and various elements of that battle, reference the relevant passage in, in this case, Polybius\’ Histories (or Livy\’s History, but note that Polybius is mostly more reliable – that doesn\’t mean that Livy is unreliable).Use footnotes when citing modern scholarship. For preparing footnotes and bibliographies with regard to modern scholarship, the following link is useful: http://www.mq.edu.au/about_us/faculties_and_departments/faculty_of_arts/mhpir/current_students/writing_essays_in_history/. I expect a surname, a page number and a third element such as the title (usually abbreviated in footnotes) or year of publication. E.g.Hoyos, Hannibal\’s Dynasty, 23 or Hoyos (2003) 23.Note that ancient sources are cited differently to modern scholarship. If I were to cite Appian\’s Iberica (The Wars in Spain) chapter 7, I would write the following: App. Iber. 7. If it were Polybius book 16, chapter 8, part 9, I would cite it like this: Pol. 16.8.9. I have not bothered to include the title of his work, Histories, in the reference, as Polybius is only known for the one work. Likewise, Livy and Diodorus are known for the one work. Note that the names of ancient authors are usually abbreviated.Important thing! use footnotes for modern sources! different to priamary sources!

Museum visit

Read the article, visit the Baltimore Museum of Art(don\’t need to visit, I\’ll give you the photo), and write a response.Part 1. Read Carol Duncan and Allan Wallach, “The Universal Survey Museum.”Here are some questions that will help you take notes on the reading. You will need to know the answers in order to complete Part 2.What is the “universal survey museum?”What museums do the authors use as their examples?Duncan and Wallach use several interchangeable terms to describe the museum, including: “an ensemble” (p. 51), “a complex” (p. 52) and “a totality” (p. 53). These terms all roughly mean the same thing. What do all three terms capture?What happened to the experience of the visitor when museums shifted from princely collections to public institutions (55-58)?What do Duncan and Wallach mean when they say the museum has a “hegemonic” function? (59)Part 2. Pick two different artworks in the museum. One artwork should be located in the Modern Art/Cone Collection section, and one located in any other gallery in the museum. The goal of this assignment is to think about the ways in which modern art is displayed differently than art from other time periods, and why. Then post a 500-word response that addresses the following points.A – Introduction to your artworks – What are the two artworks you chose, and where are they located in the museum?Tip! How do the two exhibition spaces relate to the rest of the museum building, collections, or nearby galleries? (COMPARE CONE COLLECTION, CONTEMPORARY SECTION AND ENGLISH SPORTING ART SECTION)Texts – What type of information do the wall texts or brochures give you about your two artworks?Display strategies (lighting, cases, pedestals) How are your two artworks displayed in the space? Are particular aspects of the artworks highlighted? Does the display encourage visitors to act in a particular way?C – Save space for a final paragraph! Answer the following question: How does the display strategies you observed connect to the Duncan & Wallach article? You MUST refer to at least two concepts or quotations from the article.*****Here is the rubric on which you\’ll be graded:Properly identify your selected artworks & their locations: 3 pointClearly articulate your observations on 3 different subjects (architecture & spatial layout; texts; display strategies): 3 pointsWrite a conclusion that addresses the question “How does the BMA, the artworks, and/or the display strategies you have observed connect to the Duncan & Wallach article?” 2 pointsProperly cite 2 concepts or quotations from the Duncan & Wallach article: 2 points

Has he Slave Trade ended?USE QUOTATIONS FROM THE EXCERPTS.Also my professor is big on answering the questions being asked and quoting from the excerpts.I couldn\’t get my hands on Reverend Robert Walsh\’s excerpt. If you search up\”reverend Robert Walsh a cargo of black ivory\” on google and it will come up.
