Assignment 2: Dropbox Assignment

The Course Project

In this week, you will continue to complete the tasks of the project topic selected in Week 1.

Topic 1: Disease Process

For a hypothetical patient who has the disease you selected, create a socioeconomic profile of your choice.

  • What is the level of this patient’s income, education, work experience, and cultural influences?
  • How might these socioeconomic factors influence his or her ability to access the necessary healthcare?
  • How can the patient engage in self-care practices, such as modifying diet and exercise, and understand the nature of the illness, treatment, and prognosis?
  • What healthcare services for this disease does the patient has access to?

Topic 2: Healthcare Profession

Identify the education and training of the healthcare professional you selected to study and answer the following:

  • What is the interface between this profession and other healthcare providers?
  • Who might their superior be in the healthcare network?
  • Who might their peers be? Colleagues? Subordinates?
  • What referral patterns might exist for this professional?

Jesus Is Both Humanity And Divinity.

Jesus Is Both Humanity And Divinity
Jesus made an incarnation of God, he is truly God and truly human. Christians has an understanding that Jesus is God through the Holy Trinity that developed through the creed. This has importantly shaped the Christian understanding of God through the Holy Trinity. Unlike other religion, Christians believe in God as Holy Trinity of God the Father, The Son and Holy Spirit (McCabe & Davies, 2007). Christology, which is the study of person and work of Christ, understand that Jesus Christ was a human being except for the fact that he lived his life consistently than any other human being. In this paper, we are going to look at the understanding of Jesus Christ as divine and as human based on theological beliefs and important evidence based on human life.
Christology is not a term that most African women can relate to unless they have a background of theology, but they all can relate to Jesus the son of Mary, testify over what he has done to them. Most African women see Jesus as being human through the story of visitation; wholly related to the experience that most women have. African women self-image is central to childbearing, and the scene where Mary visits Elizabeth in Judean town shows the solidarity in with which women crave this precious moment. These women did share their experience of their conceptions, which is uncommon (McCabe & Davies, 2007).
The two women expected births, which were due to some divine intervention; this is what most women crave for when they pray to God asking for the blessing of bearing children. The two women rejoiced at the salvation of God, which came through women. God is making the future by communicating through women. The most important thing, which truly would indicate that Jesus was human, is through experiences explored by real life women. The stories will act as though Mary and Elizabeth are sharing the story of salvation.
One example of Jesus as human is indicated through Amba’s story that looks at Jesus as the context through which their lives can be read. There are many images of Jesus, which are important to African women as illustrated. She believes that Christ is the liberator from disease and taboos, which restricts women from participating in their community. Amba and other women so Jesus as human who lived in order to give others life and even gave his own life for the life of other (Oduyoye, 2001).
Bette has a story written from the point of view of women having suffered subjugation and challenge of living in a society that is dominated by men. She believes that subjugation by men is what has made women not fully realize the good news brought by Jesus Christ. Bette views African women as practical theologians who show their belief in God as even they respond to traditional African beliefs (Oduyoye, 2001). Bette believes that most of African women were ingrained in Africans cultural ways, and they were not at ease when they were condemned for their African ways.
Through Jesus Christ women, the word is being incarnated in the life of African women.
Jesus is seen as divine through the Christian liturgy. The Christians profess their faith by sharing what is known as Nicaean Creed (Oduyoye, 2001). The creed is in threefold, or trinity which is belief in God the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit. Jesus is the only son eternally begotten of the Father. For the purpose of the living men, he came from heaven to save them. There are several theoretical controversies, which have been developed through creed and the later days interpretation of the creed by later Constantinople in Ephensus in 431.
Jesus Christ is divine in terms of what Paul confesses. He indicates that he had previous inability to do some things under his own power, which he thought were right. He did realize that the laws of God were unbreakable yoke that was imposed coercively. Jesus Christ did come up with a new way through which the word of God was listened to and was interpreted (Portier, 1994). The Christian Prayer and Worship thanks God through Jesus Christ who is the Lord. In Paul the letters are punctuated with much of thanksgiving to the God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is through the need to offer appropriate thanksgiving and praise for new life in Jesus Christ that there was new development of Christian worship. Without looking at matters in detail, we highlight the importance of centrality of Christianity in the formation of New Testament. There are various forms of worship, which have been highlighted in Pauline letters. In the letter to the Corinthians he references to the Disciples of Christ that they need to pray in a certain way. He refers to them as “all those everywhere who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”. The divinity of Jesus Christ is indicated through statement that when one calls the name of the Lord, they adore his Father God. Paul identifies all Christians as those people who call upon the name of Jesus Christ (Portier, 1994).
In the Christian tradition, we understand that Jesus is the Son of God. The first thing that most importantly reminds the believers of the fact that Jesus is human but not like the gods is the fact that he has never compared himself to God. Most of the gods have always appeared in human guise, but in Jesus Christ he evidently came out through human parents. The church has been preaching for several years, and what they have never stated is that Jesus is God, and not that he appears as being disguised as human (Portier, 1994).
Christians have understood that in Jesus Christ they have a means through which they can get to their Father who is God. Jesus Christ is both divine and human because he is with God in Trinity and the fact that he was born of a woman. Example of human beings whose lives have been changed through Jesus Christ is illustrated through Bette and Amba. This is what Christianity has believed in over the years.

Please carefully recheck your answers. Leave reasonable space between lines on your solution sheets. Number them and print your name.

Please sign the following. I hereby affirm that all the work in this project was done by myself ______________________.

1) i) Explain how to derive the representation of the Cartesian coordinates x, y, z in terms of the spherical coordinates ρ, θ, φ to obtain

(0.1) r =< x = ρsin(φ)cos(θ), y = ρsin(φ)sin(θ), z = ρcos(φ) > .

What are the conventional ranges of ρ, θ, φ?

ii) Conversely, explain how to express ρ, sin(θ), cos(θ), cos(φ), sin(φ) as functions of x, y, z.

iii) Consider the spherical coordinates ρ, θ, φ. Sketch and describe in your own words the set of all points x, y, z in x, y, z space such that:

a)0≤ρ≤1,0≤θ<2π,0≤φ≤π b)ρ=1, 0≤θ<2π,0≤φ≤π, c)0≤ρ<∞, 0≤θ<2π,φ=π, d)ρ=1, 0≤θ<2π,φ=π,

e) ρ=1,θ=π,0≤φ≤π.f)1≤ρ≤2,0≤θ<2π,π ≤φ≤π. 463

iv) In a different set of Cartesian Coordinates ρ, θ, φ sketch and describe in your own words the set of points (ρ, θ, φ) given above in each item a) to f). For example the set in a) in x, y, z space is a ball with radius 1 and center (0,0,0). However, in the Cartesian coordinates ρ, θ, φ the set in a) is a rectangular box.

Instructions for Research Proposal.
These instructions explain the rules for the sections of the Research Proposal. You should submit your Research Proposal by email to panderson@uindy.edu by the date on your Assignment Schedule (posted in ACE Resources). Your Research Proposal must be your own work and not copied from assignments submitted in another class or copied from the Web or another source. If you use information from the Web to support your descriptions or conclusions, insert a citation to the website. Each student must submit an individual written Research Proposal, even though the pilot test data is developed by the group.
A model for the Research Proposal can be found on Page 118 of the Business Research Methods textbook, as well as on Page 660 of Appendix A in the textbook.
Minimum total pages: 3-4 pages + Appendix (Pilot Test Results)
Sections of the Research Proposal
Problem Statement/Literature Search. The problem statement gives the reader an overview of the proposal. It states the management dilemma and how the research will address it. This section serves the same purpose as the Executive Summary in a business plan, an overview of the project. In the MindWriter example, the researchers describe the service and repair program, CompleteCare, in the first paragraph and then state the management dilemma in the second and third paragraphs (poor service; customer complaints). The fourth paragraph describes what the management hopes to do. ¾-1 page
Research Objectives. The research objectives section connects the management dilemma to the research goal. How will research help solve the dilemma? In MindWriter, the research demonstrates a connection to 1) Customer satisfaction, i.e. the complaints and 2) the poor service problem. 1/2 page
Importance/Benefits. This section seeks to justify the time and expense necessary to do the research by giving positive outcomes expected from the research. The Mindwriter crew points out how improving customer satisfaction can lead to higher profits for a longer period of time. You will explain how your research will help your new business. You may supplement your writing with citations to authoritative website articles. 1/2 page
Research Design. This is the main section of the Proposal. It describes the methods of date collection. You should describe how you collected your data and what the purpose was in your questions. The MindWriter researchers describe their questionnaire and how it will be administered. 3/4 -1 page
Data Analysis. Summarize the data you obtained in your pilot test. Give the results and comment on them. What did your research show? 3/4 -1 page
Results: Deliverables. This is a brief section describing the final package that will be delivered to the proposal’s customer. You will attach the summary of your pilot test as an Appendix.
You do not have to write a proposed Budget section.

Evaluate the various HMO models (staff, group, and network) and identify the model that would probably be best suited for the region.

You have been presented an outstanding opportunity to serve as a graduate student intern for the chief executive officer (CEO) of a large HCO. The HCO is an HMO model and originated approximately a century ago as a small rural hospital. Due to the rural setting, the HMO model flourished and, over the years, expanded throughout the region. Today, the HMO has a presence in over eighteen counties and has a number of competing interests from for-profit and not-for-profit HCOs in the region.

The board of directors recently approved the acquisition of two regional hospitals. First, the HCO decided to acquire a small rural critical-care-access hospital in a relatively remote county. The interest in acquiring the hospital is to service the existing population and expand the reach of the HMO. Second, the HCO decided to acquire a private full-service hospital in a moderate-size city (population forty-two thousand). The HCO’s move is strategic in nature, preventing the sale of the hospital to its for-profit competitor, and will gain the region its sole emergency department level 2 (two) trauma center with helicopter transport while giving the HCO the ability to service its growing HMO membership in the area.

Based on the above information:

  • Evaluate the various HMO models (staff, group, and network) and identify the model that would probably be best suited for the region. Justify your answer.
  • Research and comment on the importance and applicability of the various levels of emergency department trauma care. Investigate the exemptions afforded to a critical care rural hospital with respect to Medicare reimbursement and accreditation.
  • Elaborate on the difference between an HMO and an accountable care organization (ACO).
  • Explain the concept of capitation, its importance to the HMO and participating providers, and how the concept of capitation varies with the ACO model.
  • Explain patient-centered care and its importance in healthcare delivery.

nalysis of second communication element in the film. (In your outline state what it is and how you will go about looking for it in the film.

Write an informal outline in which you summarize your plan for your paper. In this outline, state which two elements of communication you want to observe throughout the film. Your two elements must come from two different areas listed in the chart on the next page. (Do not choose two elements from one area.)

Example of Communication Element You Might Choose

For your first element, you might analyze how Sean Penn, the mentally challenged character in I Am Sam, demonstrates relational dialectics (see area #1 in the chart) in his communication with his daughter. Show this with details from two scenes. Analyze the relational dialectics at work in these scenes. And so on.

Sample Outline You Can Use

Your outline should explain in a sentence or two how you are going to analyze each of the two communication elements in your chosen film. Following is a simple outline you should try to follow. (For guidelines on writing an introduction, see the Course Materials section of your course.)

  1. Introduction – introduce your film and the two elements for analysis. Leads into thesis, such as:  “Let’s take a look at two key communication elements, ___ and ___ throughout the film ______. From this we can comment on what this teaches us about communication for daily life.” (You fill in the blanks!)
  2. Analysis of first communication element in the film. (In your outline state what it is and how you will go about looking for it in the film.)
  3. First scene where you see the element. (You can choose the scene later.)
  4. Second scene where you see the element. (You can choose the scene later.)
  5. What the movie teaches about this element of communication.

III.        Analysis of second communication element in the film. (In your outline state what it is and how you will go about looking for it in the film.)

  1. First scene where you see the element. (You can choose the scene later.)
  2. Second scene where you see the element. (You can choose the scene later.)
  3. What the movie teaches about this element of communication.

  1. Conclusion – give your personal impressions of how the movie demonstrated your two elements of communication. Closes with how this might impact personal life.

Explain the identified changes to the suppliers in such a way that they will understand the standards that Apple requires in order to maintain their relationship with the company.

Assignment 2: Challenges in the Global Business Environment

Due Week 9 and worth 330 points

According to the textbook, ongoing challenges in the global business environment are mostly attributed to unethical business practices, failure to embrace technology advancements, and stiff competition among businesses. Imagine that you have been appointed as Apple’s Chief Compliance Officer and must prepare a video presentation for Apple’s suppliers regarding Apple’s Supplier Code of Conduct to deliver via a web meeting. To prepare for your presentation, review Apple’s Supplier Code of Conduct, located athttps://www.apple.com/supplier-responsibility/. Next, use a tablet, smartphone, laptop, desktop, or traditional video recorder to record a maximum of a five to seven (5-7) minute dynamic video on Apple’s Code of Conduct. Alternatively, you may submit a four to six (4-6) page paper instead of the video submission.

In addition to the recorded video, you must also create a presentation using PowerPoint (or other equivalent software) summarizing the important changes and explanations regarding the code of conduct that you communicated in your video presentation to email to the suppliers after the meeting for future reference.

You must submit both parts of the assignment to receive full credit.

Note: If you are using a tablet or smartphone you will need to email the video file to yourself, then save it to a computer in order to upload to Blackboard. You may want to upload your video to a file sharing service, such as Dropbox, if your email will not let you send a large video file.
