This is a paper on the trial of Rosa Lee Ingram. You will be using one newspaper article as your primary source. In the paper you MUST do and include the following:

1. Write about her whole experience on trial

2. Analyze the document in its historical context, write about and point some things out such as the issues women and black people were facing. Especially black women (who Rosa Lee Ingram was)

3. Write about the primary source author and how/in what ways the author of the article is advocating her cause

4. The paper MUST make an argument about how the primary source shapes popular narratives regarding women and the law

I\’ve attached the documents to this order. I named the Primary Source so you know which one it is. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Critically examine, analyze and assess the sonic elements or acoustic context of a chosen cultural work.

(Please use simple English and deliberately keep some grammar and word choice mistakes in the essay)
Course: MDSB63: Sound and Visual Media
Essay: Media Review Assignment
Length: 3 pages (NOT including bibliography)
This short paper will critically examine, analyze and assess the sonic elements or acoustic context of a chosen cultural work. This could be a gallery exhibition of visual art, a popular (or not so popular) TV show, a night out at the cinema, or a public art installation. Pay particular attention to the spatial context of where your visual experience is taking place, and consider how the sound of this space is influencing or inflecting your overall media experience. The idea is to have you pay attention to, and critically consider, the sonic conditions that are often rendered as secondary to the visual aspects of cultural experience. What are the dynamics of noise, silence and music at play in the visual cultural experience you\’ve chosen to examine?
This assignment takes the idea of \”cultural work\” in a rather narrow sense, and as such is not intended to cover \”everyday\” types of cultural experiences such as coffee shops, shopping malls, or public transit. Since Western culture, and Western cultural activity, is so heavily biased towards visual media and forms of engagement, the idea behind this assignment is to have you pay attention to the aural qualities of an experience that are typically forgotten, ignored or go unconsidered.

Two of your major competitors have left the state and are now located in areas where taxes and wages are considerably cheaper. Your employees however, do not know of the discussion and the possible move that may require them to relocate or lose their job. It is time to break the news and get everyone on board.

Explain in a memo to your leadership team how and when you want the news to be known to the staff.
