Evaluate each article using all three viewpoints presented in the “awareness tool” section of the multimedia presentation by summarizing the following.

Application: Applying the Awareness Viewpoint Tool

This week you have been learning, through the multimedia presentation, that there are at least three ways to look at issues and trends: your personal awareness viewpoint, your professional awareness viewpoint, and one that combines both and also takes into consideration the particulars of where you live or work—your local awareness viewpoint. You also learned that using this awareness tool; that is, looking at an issue or trend from at least these three perspectives, helps you to more fully understand the complexity of an issue or trend.

This assignment is an opportunity for you to practice using this tool and consists of the following steps:

Step 1: Review the multimedia presentation

  • Pay particular attention to the 3-step ” awareness” model for analyzing issues/trends

Step 2: Review the following articles:

“The Foundations of Lifelong Health Are Built in Early Childhood”

“Fostering Child Development through Empowerment, Unity, and Cooperation.”

Pay particular attention to the contexts from which the authors present their suggestions, and note the consequences. Which of these consequences might be intended, and which might be unintended?

Step 3: Apply the Awareness Model

  • Evaluate each article using all three viewpoints presented in the “awareness tool” section of the multimedia presentation by summarizing the following:
  • Your personal awareness viewpoint; that is, specific reasons why you are either interested in learning more about the issue or are challenged in dealing with the issue
  • Your professional awareness viewpoint; that is, the consequences of this issue that you perceive for children, families, and EC professionals
  • Your local awareness viewpoint; that is, the realities of this issue, as you see them, in the specific context of your personal and professional local community

(Assignment length: 2 pages minimum)

Submit this assignment by Sunday of this week.

As we move forward, technology is becoming increasingly important for nonprofit (and all other) organizations. Along with this comes the experience of building relationships with stakeholders online. There are several specific differences between maintaining relationships between stakeholders online and on ground. First, I would like to mention a challenge for online stakeholders, especially considering fundraising. Recent studies have found that online fundraising has decreased in response to the number of charities and causes in the news and the light that is shown on them (Patel & McKeever, 2014). Many receive unfavorable publicity (Patel & McKeever, 2014). This has been titled compassion fatigue (Patel & McKeever, 2014). One way to build this relationship is to be a responsible organization (Patel & McKeever, 2014). By this it means to follow through with claims made by the organization. Another strategy is to report to the stakeholders and make sure they are informed of all that is going on in the organization, for example, where the funding is going (Patel & McKeever, 2014). On ground stakeholders are able to see this through watching the organizations work, seeing the services first hand, and listening to the members or leaders speak. Online stakeholders do not always have this option. This is why communication is very important. The organization should never lose track of or assume that the stakeholders are aware of their actions and goals.

The roles of virtual stakeholders differ from on ground stakeholders as well. Stakeholders often hold the duty of ensuring that the organization is performing in ways that benefit society (Fremond, 2000). On ground stakeholders are able to see how the organizations programs are working in real life and act accordingly to what they see. Online stakeholders do not always have this privilege. In this case, the online stakeholder will rely on the communication of the organizations and perhaps the communication of the on ground stakeholders surrounding it. In general, the online stakeholders go through a completely different process to engage in their roles. However, organizations must remember that online communication can benefit both stakeholders since online access is very plentiful and easy accessible now.

Examine the costs of production for your firm. a) Analyze the various costs a firm faces, their trends over time, and how they have impacted your firm’s profitability.

This assignment has 3 sections.  Each section must be 1-2 pages, properly cited and APA format.

The purpose of this milestone is for students to explore the various costs their firm faces and to describe their firm’s market. Using the concepts and tools developed in Modules Four and Five, students will analyze the fixed and variable costs of their firm, how those costs have changed over time, and how those changes have impacted their firm’s overall health and sustainability. In analyzing their firm’s market, students will detail the extent of their firm’s market power and their firm’s ability to influence the market. Students will also describe major trends in the market, specifically concerning new products, technologies, and new entrants. Students can further determine the future health of their firm to inform their final recommendations by examining their firm’s place within the market. Prompt:

Submit a draft of the Costs of Production (Section IV), Overall Market (Section V), and Recommendation (Section VI) of your research paper, including all critical elements listed below. You will review your firm’s financial reports and other relevant data sources to collect and analyze cost information for your firm over the past five or so years.

Using real data and the economic tools developed in Module Four, you will analyze your firm’s profitability and how costs impact its growth. Additionally, you will find data on your firm’s competitors in order to detail your firm’s place within the market currently and over the past five or so years. Lastly, you will develop a recommendation for how the firm can manage its future production. Specifically the following critical elements must be addressed:

IV. Examine the costs of production for your firm. a) Analyze the various costs a firm faces, their trends over time, and how they have impacted your firm’s profitability. b) Apply the concepts of variable and fixed costs to your firm for informing its output decisions. For instance, analyze how different kinds of costs (labor, research and development, raw materials) affect the firm’s level of output.

V. Explore the overall market for your firm. a) Discuss the market share of the firm and its top competitors by providing details on current percentages for each firm and describing the trend over time. You might consider presenting the data graphically. b) Analyze the barriers to entry in this market to illustrate the potential for new competition and its impact on your firm’s future in the market. c) Describe the market structure for this firm and analyze how this affects the firm’s ability to influence the market.

VI. Recommendation a) Develop a recommendation for how the firm can manage its future production by synthesizing the data presented. b) Suggest how the firm’s position within the market and among its competitors will allow it to take your recommended action. c) Describe how the firm can sustain its success going forward by evaluating the findings from demand trends and price elasticity. Rubric Guidelines for Submission:

Your paper must be submitted as a three- to six-page Microsoft Word document (each section should be one to two pages) with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, one-inch margins, and sources cited in APA format.

Describe how theory is applicable to a research study.

Discussion answer must be a minimum of 400 words

Background:Research serves as a guide by which to study, describe, and quantify an array of social and physical phenomenon. Theory, which is best described as a set of propositions or hypotheses that specify the relationship among a subset of variables, serves as a way of offering an intellectualized general commentary on that which is observed. Describe how theory is applicable to a research study.

Theories can be used in quantative, qualitative, and mixed method studies

How does theory inform a research study? How can a generalized theory remain timely enough to be applicable to new or innovative studies?
