Identify three actors from your film and classify each according to the acting category listed in your text.

Mise en scène refers to different technical elements used in making a film such as lighting and sound, both of which you have already analyzed in this course. The term also encompasses the role of actors in a film, their physical positioning and movements within the frame, as well as the different styles and types of acting.

You can classify an acting category using only one film as reference, but these categories are subject to change. Each new role helps to clarify or shift an actor’s designation. Do some actors always fall into the same category? How can actors change from category to category? Does genre have any effect on the acting styles present in a given film?

Using specific examples from your chosen film, write an initial post of at least 200 words which should

  • Identify three actors from your film and classify each according to the acting category listed in your text.
  • Explain your reasons for classifying the actors as you do. Use specific references to the film and pay special attention to how these decisions impacted characterization. Also, consider the impact of any realistic or stylized portrayals within the film.
  • Focus on one of the actors you’ve discussed. Based on other films the actor has been in, would this actor always be placed in the same category? If so, what does this say about the category or actor? If not, what can you infer about the flexibility of these categories? Provide evidence (references from other films, including film clips and stills) to support your argument.

You must use at least two outside sources, in any combination of embedded video clips, still photos, or scholarly sources. All sources should be documented in APA style as outlined by the Ashford Writing Cente

Describe the sources of data needed to conduct the two measures.

fter reading Chapter 1 through 4, you should be familiar with quality improvement initiatives including NCQA’s HEDIS® measures. Health plans and physicians must ensure they are meeting standards set by the accreditation agencies, such as NCQA. As a physician practice manager for Dr. Jones, you have just conducted a mock survey of the patient chart data. The data shows that your physician practice is not meeting standards for two HEDIS® measures.

  • Choose two HEDIS® measures (from the list below either a, b, c, d, e or f) that must be implemented in a physician practice to improve patient outcomes.
  • Describe the sources of data needed to conduct the two measures.
  • Using one of the quality improvement models (Lean, PDSA, or Six Sigma), explain how you would use the model to implement the two chosen HEDIS® Measures.

Your initial post should be 250-300 words and utilize at least one scholarly source from the Ashford University Library to justify your choice of improvement models. Cite all sources in APA format as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Explain how you would go about investigating your research study (e.g., describe type of research method used, your sample, etc.).

  • Reflect on the information you have learned in your readings for Module 1, thinking about information related to human sexuality that you would like to know more about.
  • Formulate a research question.
  • Why would your research question be important to study?
  • What lessons did you learn from studies such as Kinsey’s and Master’s & Johnson’s that will help you design your own study?
  • Explain how you would go about investigating your research study (e.g., describe type of research method used, your sample, etc.).
  • Describe the ethical issues you will have to consider when designing your study.

Discuss what it is and how it relates and/or exemplifies an idea in the book.

Complete a one page (about 500 words) reflection about Chapter 2.

Use the headings below with the information requested.

  • Chapter Overview–A brief overview of what the chapter was about.
  • Topic of Interest 1–What two topics were the most interesting to you and why?
  • Topic of Interest 2–  ”                          ”                         ”                 “
  • Real life relation–Relate something in the chapter that you experienced in your real life. Discuss what it is and how it relates and/or exemplifies an idea in the book.  Even if you have no CRM, retail, or work experience, think critically about your experience as a customer with businesses of all sizes.

Compare and contrast the respondent’s views with your own. How would you answer the same questions?

Views on Diversity  January 13, 2016. Your response should be at least two pages long. All written assignments and responses should follow APA rules for attributing sources and all WORK MUST BE COMPLETELY ORIGINAL AS ALL WORK GOES THROUGH A TURNITIN PROGRAM.

Pablo believes that diversity is the most important issue in our culture, and that it is greatly underemphasized. On the other hand, Ralph rarely thinks of diversity, except when it is mentioned in the workplace. Monica is sensitized to multicultural issues because her parents are immigrants who still struggle with discrimination after being here for 20 years.

To obtain a cross-section of what people think about diversity, conduct five-minute interviews with three individuals you don’t know well, and assess their views on diversity. You have been provided an Informed Consent document for the respondents to sign along with verbally consenting to participate in this assignment. This is to enable that the respondents demonstrate a clear understanding of the meaning and purpose of this assignment. While you are expected to use the informed consent form in keeping with ethical practices for data collection, you do not need to submit it to the instructor as part of the assignment.

Ask the respondents the following questions and record their answers:

  • When you hear the word diversity mentioned in the workplace, in the media, or in casual conversation, what meaning do you assign this term?
  • Does a particular race, ethnic group, or other minority group come to mind when you think of diversity? Does one of these groups pertain to you?
  • Do you think the majority of people in our culture:
    • Respect cultural differences among groups of people.
    • Show indifference to cultural differences.
    • Lack respect for cultural differences. Explain each choice.
  • If you were to make a suggestion about how our culture should handle diversity over the next decade, what would it be?

Compile your responses and write a brief reflection paper (two pages) on your findings. Specifically address the following issues:

  • What did you discover was the general attitude toward diversity in our culture?
  • Is diversity more associated with one race, ethnic, or other minority group than with others? If so, explain why this might be the case.
  • Compare and contrast the respondent’s views with your own. How would you answer the same questions?

I HAVE INTERVIEWED ONE PERSON ANSWERS ARE BELOW NEED 2 MORE INTERVIEWS

INTERVIEW SUBJECT 1

1.)When you hear the word diversity mentioned in the workplace, in the

media, or in casual conversation, what meaning do you assign this

term?

When I hear the word diversity mentioned in the workplace, in the media or in a casual conversation, the meaning I give the term is differences in age, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I see it as a vague term used for the many different people in our country.

2.)Does a particular race, ethnic group, or other minority group come

to mind when you think of diversity? Does one of these groups pertain

to you?

There is no particular race, ethnic group or other minority group that comes mind when I

think of diversity. There are no two people are the same, so diversity is a word that I believes pertains to everybody.

3.)   Do you think the majority of people in our culture:

Respect cultural differences among groups of people.

Show indifference to cultural differences.

Lack respect for cultural differences. Explain each choice.

I think there is no majority of people, but an equal 50 percent of people in our culture that respects as well as disrespects cultural differences among groups of people. There are many indifference’s to cultural differences and lack respect for cultural differences, such as hate crimes, and racism in our schools. As this is a touchy subject most of our Muslim culture here gets the blame for our recent attacks.

4.) If you were to make a suggestion about how our culture should

handle diversity over the next decade, what would it be?

No one will every understand the way someone else chooses to live unless you walk in their shoes and see what that person had to see. With that being said, we don’t need to understand it we just need to accept we are all different. That is a battle we have been fighting to accept since the beginning of time. Making meet and greets in the workplace mandatory once a month. People getting out and meeting neighbors and other community members would be a good way to start. people should not be measure by a cultural difference, age, gender, sexual orientation, or ethnic background but by the person they are, how they treat others and carry themselves. I believe if more people saw others like this it would not be so hard to accept the differences they have

Describe the equilibrium price and quantity in this market.

Using Microsoft (MS) Excel, construct a graph showing supply and demand in the E-Book market based on the data above. (Save this file because you will re-work it later in the assignment.) When finished, copy and paste or import your graph into an MS Word document.

(Tutorials for working with MS Excel and MS Word can be found through the Tutoring Services and Tutorials link at the top of the page.)

In your MS Word document, below your imported graph, respond to the following:

  1. Explain how the Laws of Supply and Demand are illustrated in this graph.
  2. Describe the equilibrium price and quantity in this market.
  3. Assume that the government imposes a price floor of $12 in the E-Book market. Explain what would happen in this market.
  4. Assume that the price floor is removed and a price ceiling is imposed at $6. Explain what would happen in this market.
  5. Now, assume that the price of E-Readers (used with E-Books) drops from $60 by fifty percent. How would this change impact the demand for E-Books? Explain your answer. Then, reconstruct your original graph to show this change and place it in your MS Word document below your explanation.

Remember, quotations, paraphrases, and ideas you get from books, articles, or other sources of information should be cited using APA style. Help with citing sources can be found through the Academic Resources page under Course Home.

Save your MS Word file using the filename LastnameFirstInitial_M1A3 and submit it to the M1: Assignment 3 Dropbox by Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
