Describe two things you learned or found interesting during your tour of the Steer-A-Year Barn/IAMB Facility.

Describe the production cycle of beef cattle. What does it take to be a successful beef cattle producer? Things you may want to consider: how females and bull should be cared for and managed, how calves should be managed, etc. Lastly, do you think proper handling of cattle impacts their productivity? Why or why not? Describe two things you learned or found interesting during your tour of the Steer-A-Year Barn/HAMB Facility

What factors led to the problem.

need a quick discussion post

Think of an example of the principal-agent that you experienced first-hand or read or heard about. What factors led to the problem? Were there serious adverse outcomes arising from the problem? Based on the course material, what suggestions can you offer that would have reduced or eliminated the problem?

Discuss the moral and ethical ramifications of the decisions.

he following is a true story – and it made national headlines several years ago. A Houston Texans football player and his wife got the call from a hospital in Dallas that his wife’s mother (the football player’s mother in law) was dying and only had a few minutes left to live. They hopped in the car and sped toward the hospital around midnight. Not many cars were on the road. As they were approaching the hospital, they ran a couple of red lights to get them there faster. A police officer saw this, and pulled them over as they were pulling into the hospital. The couple seeing the lights called ahead to the hospital to have a nurse meet them to substantiate their story that their mother was dying and only had a few minutes left.

When the couple jumped out of their car, the police officer drew his gun and told them to get back into the car. He walked over to them and they explained the situation. The police officer said he did not care, and they drove recklessly and broke the law. The nurse substantiated the claim, and the doctor came out as well and substantiated the claim. The police officer called for back-up and told everyone to stay in their car. He gave the football player a ticket. After the process, they ran inside but it was too late and the mother had died.

From your lectures and readings this week, please answer the following:

What type of moral reasoning was the police officer using (from Kohlberg’s stages of moral reasoning–preconventional, conventional, or postconventional)?

What type of moral reasoning was the football player using (from Kohlberg’s stages of moral reasoning–preconventional, conventional, or postconventional)?

What would you have done in this situation in both the roles of the police officer and of the football player?

Was the police officer in the right to hold them and do his job as a police officer to enforce the laws, despite a mitigating circumstance?

Discuss the moral and ethical ramifications of the decisions.

This assignment should be a minimum of 500 words long and directly integrate the readings and vocab

Explain, from a theoretical point of view, how these activities would aid a child’s fine motor skills development, making sure to reference at least one peer-reviewed article.

ssignment 1: LASA 2—Observational and Motor Learning

During the period of early childhood, mastering fine motor skills is a very important process needed for physical and cognitive development. However, for a number of different reasons, there are some children who do not develop at the same pace as an average child. It is important for parents and physicians to recognize children who are not on track developmentally because the earlier the cause of the delay can be determined, the earlier parents can start working with the child to correct or minimize these deficits. Often, the earlier the children begins to work on their developmental deficits, the greater the advancements they can make.

By the age of three, a child should be able to do the following:

  • Use a spoon by themselves
  • Draw a vertical and horizontal line
  • String large beads
  • Snip paper with scissors
  • Roll clay or play dough into a “snake”

Conduct an Internet search using the two phrases listed below. Your results will help you better understand the kind of milestones that are used to assess the development of fine motor skills in young children.

  • Fine motor skills milestones
  • Child development milestones

Using the module readings, the Argosy University online library resources, and the Internet, research observational and motor learning and activities that can be used to help develop motor skills. Then, address the following:

  • Describe in detail how a young child’s fine motor skills are developed—making sure to include the theory of motor-skill learning that best fits this situation.
  • Explain whether any motor tasks or skills can be accomplished via observational learning. Justify your response.
  • Now, consider a situation in which a young child (3–4 years old) is developmentally delayed in fine motor skill development. Create a strategy which would help the child strengthen his or her fine motor skills.
  • You can find a number of activities online which purport to help develop these skills. From a theoretical viewpoint, be sure to explain how these activities will aid a child’s fine motor skill development. Make sure that you reference at least one peer-reviewed article in addition to any Web sites you find and describe these activities as part of your development strategy.

Write a 3–4-page paper in Word format. It should be double-spaced and in 12 point, Times New Roman font with regular one-inch margins and free of typographical and grammatical errors. Apply APA standards to citation of sources. Be sure to include a title page with a running head and reference page. Use the following file naming convention: LastnameFirstInitial_M5_A1.doc.

Describe exactly what should be done and how it should be done, including by whom, with whom, and in what sequence.

andbook, 6th edition, by Anthony C. Winkler and Jo Ray McCuen. This handbook includes information on the following styles: APA, MLA, CEE, CMS, and Columbia Online (ISBN – 1413001785).

Scenario: The Wireless Technology Company (WTC), a company that assists organizations and businesses with issues involving network planning and design, has hired you as a consultant. The Athlete’s Shack (TAS) is a chain of sporting goods stores. Because TAS has grown in popularity, it now has 10 stores in the area. TAS is considering implementing a wireless technology that will link all of its stores through wireless broadband service, installing WLANs in each store, and providing its employees with iPads for better customer service. TAS is unsure how to start this process. They have asked WTC for help, and WTC has turned to you.

Create a technical, detailed-oriented report for TAS that explains the process of the project. The format of your technical paper should be based on the following:

Table of Contents

The Table of Contents is a key tool. Use it to format and organize your paper. You can use the headings below as the main sections of your paper. If you are unfamiliar with the Table of Contents utility in MS Word, check out the video in the Hub Writing Center, located under the Student Resources tab.

Executive Summary

The Executive Summary includes the specific findings of the research in a short format optimized for a quick read by decision makers. It gives an overview of the organization and summarizes the findings.

Assessment

Evaluate the needs of the business. Identify and clearly state the problems and issues. If there appears to be more than one problem or issue, decide if they are separate or related issues. What are the problems that you are tasked with solving? Provide a detailed analysis of the causes of the problem or issue. Be sure the causes you identify relate directly to the problem or issue. Discuss the concepts, ideas, and insights that are most valuable in helping you make sense of your project. Cite all sources.

Solution

Explore the solutions appropriate to solve the identified problems or issues. Be sure the solutions are logical and based on your analysis. The solutions should effectively treat the problem, not the symptoms. Also, discuss the anticipated outcomes (both positive and negative) of implementing each of the possible solutions you identified. Describe exactly what should be done and how it should be done, including by whom, with whom, and in what sequence. Be specific about your recommended solution and implementation.

Diagrams

A picture is worth a thousand words, especially when you are describing a network solution. Diagrams should add value and not simply take up space.

References

List all references used in your paper. All references must be cited in two places: within the text and on the reference list. Choose references judiciously and cite them accurately. Refer to Writing the Research Paper or use the videos in the Hub Writing Center, located under the Student Resources Tab, to understand how to cite sources appropriately.

Guidelines

  • The report should consist of 12 pages (280–300 words per page, except for Charts, Drawings, and/or Spreadsheets).
  • Use a 10 point font; double spaced; and include a cover page, table of contents, introduction, body of the report, summary or conclusion, and works cited.
  • Submit your work in a Microsoft Word document, via the appropriate dropbox.
  • Do not submit your report in Acrobat PDF format.
  • Even though this is not a scientific writing assignment and is mostly creative in nature, references are still very important. At least ten authoritative, outside references are required (articles and web pages with anonymous authors are not acceptable). These should be listed on the Works Cited page.
  • Appropriate citations are required.
  • All DeVry University policies are in effect, including the plagiarism policy.
  • Papers are due in Week 7.
  • Any questions about this paper can be discussed in the weekly Q & A Forum.

The following are best practices in preparing this paper.

  • Cover Page: Include who you prepared the paper for, who prepared it, and the date.
  • Table of Contents: List the main ideas and sections of the paper and the pages where they are located. Illustrations should be included separately.
  • Executive Summary: Use a header on your paper. This will indicate that you are introducing the paper.

An Executive Summary is an overview. The purpose is to summarize the key points of your paper for readers, saving them time and preparing them for the upcoming content. You should also include your recommendation in the Executive Summary. Think of the Executive Summary as an advance organizer for the reader. Above all else, an executive summary has to be clear and concise. It is always a good idea to wait until the paper is written to write the Executive Summary.

  • Body of the Report: Use a header with the name of the project. An example is, “The Upgrade of The Athlete’s Shack: A World Class Company”. Proceed to break out the main ideas: State the main ideas, the major points of each idea, and provide evidence. Show some type of division, such as separate, labeled sections; separate groups of paragraphs; or headers. Include the information you found during your research and investigation.
  • References: Use the citation format specified in the Syllabus.

Additional hints on preparing the best possible project follow.

  1. Apply a three-step process to writing: plan, write, and complete.
  2. Prepare an outline of the research paper before going forward.
  3. Complete a first draft and then go back to edit, evaluate, and make any changes required.
  4. Use visual communication to further clarify and support the written part of the report. Examples include graphs, diagrams, photographs, flowcharts, maps, drawings, animation, video clips, pictograms, tables, and Gantt charts.

Explore the solutions appropriate to solve the identified problems or issues.
