Early Intervention and Special Educational and Services in the State of Georgia

Each state provides early educational and special educational services according to eligibility criteria set by the state legislature. Since there are significant variations in eligibility criteria, it results in different numbers of children served and different challenges faced by parents and their children.

On the web, locate one early intervention service and one special educational school service available in your state. Review their websites carefully. Then write a 3-5 page double-spaced essay, addressing the following:
First provide basic information, such as organization name, location, and contact information..
In 1-2 paragraphs, describe the early intervention services available through this organization, including any eligibility criteria..
In 1-2 paragraphs, describe the special educational services available, including eligibility criteria and information on how parents can access the services..
In 3-4 paragraphs, share your impressions as someone who might one day refer a family to these services. What did you observe about the websites? For example, how easy/difficult was it for you to find the information on services and assessment process?.
To what extent did the program appear inclusive of different types of disabilities and needs?.
How user-friendly was the information?.
How accessible do you think the program would be for families in various geographic locations, e.g. extreme rural locations, high-crime inner city areas, suburban areas, etc.?.
What barriers did you identify for families and/or the children themselves?.
.
Include a concluding paragraph that states your overall impressions of these resources..

This essay should be 3-5 pages in length and double-spaced. Avoid short answer or bulleted responses. Use complete sentences and segue between paragraphs. This assignment requires a critical evaluation of the two resources you are describing. Remember that copying and pasting from a website is considered plagiarism and will result in a failing grade.

Be sure to include a reference page formatted in APA 6 style.

Include the following in your case study submission:
A desrption of your professional responsibilities as discussed in the stages of the drawing-in process (Unit 12)
Discussion of any fitness tests, methods of evaluation, and data collection used to assess and evaluate the clients needs

A detailed 12-week comprehensive and periodized training program including specific exercises, sets, repetitions, suggested rest times, etc. Use an integrated approach in your program recommendations.
Specific and detailed nutritional strategies and an explanation as to how the strategies will assist the client in meeting energy needs
Explanation for your chosen assessment, programming, and nutritional recommendations. (Be sure to reference course concepts when discussing rationale for your recommendations.
Keep in mind that a client should be able to take your program and put it into practice without having to contact you to clarify what you intended by your recommendations or to explain parts of your program.
Dont forget your explanation for WHY you listed and recommended what you did. Reference the concepts and theories covered in the course. Be sure to address why the program and exercises recommended are appropriate for the specific client given the clients history, current abilities, and intended goal(s). For example: if you are developing a program for a beginner client without any resistance training experience, explain how your program addresses the lack of experience, initial need for foundational development, process by which you would safely progress the client, etc. Tying your program to course concepts is a critical component of your case study.

Creating of flowchart

Workflow analysis aims to determine workflow patterns that maximize the effective use of resources and minimize activities that do not add value. There are a variety of tools that can be used to analyze the workflow of processes and clarify potential avenues for eliminating waste. Flowcharts are a basic and commonly used workflow analysis method that can help highlight areas in need of streamlining.
In this Assignment, you select a common event that occurs regularly in your organization (e.g.infection control)and create a flowchart representing the workflow. You analyze the process you have diagrammed and propose changes for improvement.
To prepare:
Identify a common, simple event that frequently occurs in your organization that you would like to evaluate.
Consider how you would design a flowchart to represent the current workflow.
Consider what metrics you would use to determine the effectiveness of the current workflow and identify areas of waste.
To complete:
Write a 3- to 5-page paper which includes the following:
Create a simple flowchart of the activity you selected. (Review the Sample Workflow of Answering a Telephone in an Office document found in this weeks Learning Resources for an example.)
Next, in your paper:
Explain the process you have diagrammed.
For each step or decision point in the process, identify the following:
Who does this step? (It can be several people.)
What technology is used?
What policies and rules are involved in determining how, when, why, or where the step is executed?
What information is needed for the execution of this step?
Describe the metric that is currently used to measure the soundness of the workflow. Is it effective?
Describe any areas where improvements could occur and propose changes that could bring about these improvements in the workflow.
Summarize why it is important to be aware of the flow of an activity.
