2. The information required to write the business report is found in the company’s annual report, which is available on the internet (for all the above-mentioned companies). Information from any other source can also be used by the student.

3. The report should include the following:

 A description of the business activities of the company that you have selected.

 Calculations of the ratios in the context of the company’s Profitability, Efficiency, Liquidity, Gearing, and Investment performance for 2013 & 2014 using annual reports. The detailed calculation of relevant rations and other useful calculations should be included in one or more appendices. Students are advised to show the formulae used in determining particular ration and other figures.

 An explanation of each ratio giving details of what the ratio means and how the calculation and comparison of each ratio will help the company’s decision making.

 A discussion of your results for each ratio over the two years and what each ratio indicates about the financial performance of the company.

 Advice to potential investors about investing in this particular company with reasons based on your ratio calculations.
