In this final paper you are to write a full essay defending a thesis that brings together politics and ethical considerations as we have come to understand them. An A paper will be well-written and proofread and will contain the following elements:

1) An introductory paragraph that has a clear thesis, involving some political issue or topic, that clearly makes some ethical or moral claim. This thesis should definitely be taking a stand on the issue introduced. The rest of your essay should support this thesis.

2) At least a paragraph explaining and supporting your thesis. You need to try to convince the reader that your thesis is correct.

3) Consideration of at least one potential objection to your thesis that an intelligent, rational person might have. This should be the best possible objection you can think of.

4) A conclusion that restates your thesis and recapitulates the reasoning you have supplied for thinking that thesis is true.

An A paper will NOT include fluff, more than very few typos and misspellings, or any more than a bare minimum of grammar and English problems.

You do not need to use ANY sources for this paper, but any sources that you do use must be properly cited and listed in a references section at the end of your paper.

You will not be graded on the length of your paper, as such, but on how well you support an interesting thesis that applies ethical thinking to a political issue.
