The transport system is among one of the greatest achievement of America. The transporting system is also a lifeblood for the development of the economy of America. However critical improvement are required to make surface transport greener, smarter and safer. And hence ultimately enhancing the livability of American people. Some of the transformation of the transportation system may be achieved through the use of modern day technology such as the use of Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology on the mobile phone. Using such technologies on transport sectors can transform the way the people of America travel through the creation of interoperable, safe, wireless communication network that includes traffic signals, cell phones, and cars, among other devices.
The City yellow cab
City yellow cab is a taxi company based in Akron, Ohio and the mission of the company is to provide timely, safe and reliable cab services through the use of car computer aided dispatch debit card and credit card. Also, the company is a reliable and dedicated company offering cost effective, professional and high-quality transport to those served (“Our Facility | City Yellow Cab,” n.d.). The company greatly values employees’ customer relationship while high customer care standards and safety are the major priorities. The primary objective of yellow city cab is to promote community presence and positive work environment while providing the best services and experience possible. The yellow city cab upholds certain standards such as clean background check and proper licensing as well as providing a continuous training to its employees’. City yellow cabs have been in service for over 80 years therefore under all circumstances the company offers reliable services and communication.
The company faces competition from other cab services companies such as a capital cap, Diamond Cab among others. To enhance the competitive advantage of the City yellow cab our company has identified technological weakness in the company. And therefore, my company intend to create a mobile application that will employ Radio frequency identification (RFID) to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and improved productivity as well as improving resources utilization. The mobile application I propose will improve the company service delivery by mitigating the problem driver using a mobile phone while still driving. Also, the application adds safety measures for both passage and driver as it will enable the cap to located and tracked in case of emergency (RFIDSec (Workshop), Ma, & Weng, 2013). The application will use RFID technology to detect when the yellow cab cars are in motion and detect if the driver is trying to use a cell phone. The application will then trigger low-range mobile jammer that will prevent only the driver cell phone from operating. However, passage will enjoy using their phones.
The following are the main stakeholder in this project:
• My company
• Programmers
• City yellow cab senior management
• Drivers
• City yellow cab resource manager

Statement of work
Problem statement
The existing application that are used to mitigate the problem of driving while still operating a cell phone have some gaps this application will employ RFID technology to mitigate this gap.
Challenges with the current applications
The existing application such as SafeTexting that is developed for Android phones prevent sending and receiving of messages while the car is moving (O’Keeffe, 2011). The problem with this application is that it also prevent passages from using their cell phones. Also, the other application that was presented at international conference on mobile computing and networking in the year 2014 used car speakers to produce peeps that are detected by the phone if the phone is in use around the driver’s seat and remind him or her to hang up. The application that am proposing will use RFID technology to block any transmission actively from the phone of the driver leaving the driver with only one option of not using the phone (O’Keeffe, 2011). The application will automatically signal from drivers phones while the car in motion application will then trigger low-range mobile jammer that will prevent only the driver cell phone from operating. However, passage will continue using their phones. Also, the application will be used to track cabs in a case of emergency.
Application feasibility analysis
The application will aid the yellow city cab to improve their service delivery hence offering great operational efficiency and improved productivity. Hence, the company will enjoy effective resources utilization leading positive economic growth. The application will be compatible with all mobile OS platform. And it does not have any related health effects.
