I agree with the concept of the veil of ignorance partially. I agree that when we choose a policy, we should try to look beyond ourselves. In other words, I should not just be thinking “what’s in it for me?” However, I don’t think all policies should be focused on the vulnerable and least-advantaged. Instead, we should focus on what policies are most helpful for society as a whole, and fair for all. If the policy is helpful for society as a whole, then everyone, including the least-advantaged, will benefit.
