Each summer accepted BSN students travel abroad and learn about global issues in health care. Previous programs have included:

4. Strategies for providing nursing care through a world view
Today as global health issues rise to the forefront of the international agenda, the Summer Program’s dynamic blend of clinical observation, topical debates and educational excursions gives it real-world relevance.
For this essay I am required to answer two questions:
1. What motivates you to apply to this program?
2. What are your expectations?
I am also required to have one source. I’d like for it to be a special quote.
The last requirement is for the essay to be between 300-350 words.
I’d like for the essay to be personal and not generalized. Question 1 should be more intimate and along the lines of being dedicated to my nursing career, how I can contribute to the nursing world and not just about good grades. Question 2 should be about what I expect to gain from this program in terms of knowledge and global perspective and not what I expect the school to provide.
On a side note: I am a 24 year old male nursing student with a 3.84 gpa. I am the junior coordinator for a peer assisted learning program in which I tutor other students in all subjects I have already taken and manage all the other tutors. I do not get paid for this position and spend at least 5 hrs a week running the program. I am also a member of the Student Advisory Counsel in which high academic standing students talk about school issues and solutions.
In conclusions, I need an admission essay that stands out, grabs attention and provokes interest out of 200 applicants.
