a. Your paper should include the following three parts, delineated by section headings:
(1) Describe—do not evaluate—the basic argument and the most compelling major points of both books. It is important here that you demonstrate a working understanding of each position before moving on to a critique of the positions in a later section.
(2) Evaluate the most significant similarities and differences between each book and your own view (evolving as it may be) of this topic. In this section you will (a) articulate your own view of the major issues, (b) critique weaknesses you discern in the various views considered regarding the major issues, and (c) defend your own view with biblical evidence and logical development.
(3) Describe at least three ways in which the conclusions you draw from your evaluation [(2) above] might influence your personal practice of piety and the way your church might engage in ministry in the world beyond its four walls.
