Armani offers a wide range of cloths such as suits, hourte couture and ready wear. It is thus problematic to determine which consumers to advertise a particular product.
In instances of app usage, advertising agencies face problems such attracting people to the apps,how to ensure that the users are engaged to the apps and how to make money from them (Soroa, 2008).
The privacy and permissions problem can however be tackled in the mobile industry through permission marketing. In permission marketing, the consumers recognize their need for the product and give the advertiser the rights to market to them.
As a consumer, I have had the experience of using both smart phones and old generation phones. I have used brands such as Nokia, Samsung and Sony. I have experienced marketing in these phones in the form of mobile applications for my smartphone, an example was the hit mobile app Angry birds where whenever I turned on the app and was connected to the Internet, I would view pop-ups about financial institutions such as Chase Bank.
Marketers may use SMS as a marketing tool where they need the information to reach the consumer immediately. SMS have the advantage of being synchronous and they are very personal since the consumers check their messages more frequently than any other thing (Soroa, 2008). USSDs have the advantage of their affordability since they are cheap. They are also good if the advertiser needs feedback(Soroa, 2008). MMS have the advantage of being able to send adverts in videos form as well as audio and text hence offer advertisers wider options
