Training on Office Supplies Inventory
Organizations use office supplies I their daily operations; for instance, stationery. It is important for organizations to continuously update the purchased and used inventory list. An effective inventory has two functions. The first function entails ensuring adequate office supplies. The second function entails accountability in all the expenses accrued for office supplies.
The training task project has three main objectives. The first objective is; to explain the importance of inventory to the organization. The second objective is; to describe the methods of appropriate inventory. The third objective is; to ensure implementation of the appropriate inventory methods by the staffs.
The training session will take two working days. The first day will be used by the training organizers and facilitators to organize appropriate resources, and put in place the implementation strategy for the training task. The second day will entail the actual implementation process of the training task. The trainees will be divided into teams. Each team will be headed by one training facilitator.
The training will require two major resources; computers and stationery. 10 computers will be provided; one phone for each training team. Note books and pens will be provided for each of the 50 training participants. The computers will be used for demonstration purposes. The computers have inventory software that automates the inventory process. The stationary will be used for recording training steps and information.
The lesson plan for the training is effective. The facilitators are chosen from the supplies and procurement department. This is because they have adequate knowledge and experience on the professional inventory management. Each of the ten facilitators will be in charge of a team. Each team has five members; including the facilitator. The facilitator will train the staffs on two office supplies inventory techniques; manual inventory technique and the software inventory technique. The participants will be required to demonstrate the training activities. The participants are expected to gain effective office supplies inventory approaches; this will enhance communication with stakeholders.
