A review about Lizzie Siddal show

Lizzie Siddal is a new play about a woman named Ophelia in the famous painting of Millais (Pina, 2013). The movie recounts the life story of this woman as a shop girl to rising up to becoming a successful model and artist that people admires. This paper is a personal view about on the movie show.

The script in the movie resembles the themes in the novel. The script is well adopted and organized. The story flows from one aspect to another as it demonstrates the experiences and the way Lizzie defied all orders to become a successful artist.  Some of the aspects about this woman are exaggerated.  For instance in one of the play, the movie claims that Lizzie’s hair continued to grow even after her death. This is not true but is used to portray how her hair was nice and the fact that she was a model.

The lightings used in the movie are a bit blurred. Various scenes are not presented in bright color. The contrast used was slightly dim making the picture a bit blur.  The reason for this might have been to portray the exact pictures and images in their original form aimed at making the show look real and appealing to the audiences. The movie is also accompanied by various music sounds.  The background sound makes the movie interesting as they add spice. Different sounds are incorporated in the entire movie.

Movies are also produced for a specific audience. The directors are very key to ensure that the themes and the movie in general appeal to certain audience. This movie, appeals to young people and women.  The themes in the story are an inspiration to these audiences who require motivation about life. That they can rise to the level they wish in life.

The play is written by Jeremy Green and directed by Lotte Wakeham. They have really done a wonderful job in this movie. A movie is well cast and is very organized with a clear message. It is also interesting to watch and therefore a recommendable.
