You may find articles in two places (you may also use a combination of the two)
Go to the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Web site, www.nber.org, and select New Working Papers. In the Google search space, type “alcohol.” Use the titles and summaries of the papers to answer the following questions relating to elasticity: (a) Do the mentally ill have perfectly inelastic demands for cigarettes and alcohol? (b) Does alcohol consumption increase in bad times? (c) What is the effect of cigarette taxes (and smuggling) on the consumption of alcohol? What does that imply about the cross elasticity of demand between the two? (d) Is binge drinking among college students sensitive to the price of alcohol?
Note, you will need to go through the long list to find the articles that relate to the questions asked. Attach a copy of the summary or abstract for each question.
OR
Use the Proquest database and input the key words for abstracts to find more recent articles on the above topics. Again, attach the abstract or title page plus page with the answers to the above questions.

Long-run view of competition Do a web search at www.google.com for the website of the corporation of your choice. Find that corporation’s annual report to stock-holders on the website. What does the report say about the corporation’s view of future business challenges and the market in which it operates? Does this corporation see long-run adjustments as described in the chapter?
