Overview

The Los Angeles Police Department was established to serve and protect the citizens of Los Angeles. It contains approximately ten thousand officers and approximately three thousand civilian staff. It serves the area of Los Angeles, which is four hundred and ninety eight square miles with a population of about four million citizens. It is the third largest police department in the whole of US (Worth, 2011). The main purpose is to serve and protect the people of Los Angeles from any crime. However, this has proven to be a difficult task for this department due to various problems that are affecting the department.

 

The research will aim into dealing with issues of staffing, resources and training with ample suggestions on improving these areas.

3) Training

  4. d) If, the current training needs to be changed how will it be changed?
  5. e) How will the new training be effective?
  6. f) How much money will it need so that it can be implemented?

 

Conceptualize a mode of data collection from the workforce. Provide various means of getting information about the issues identified.

 

Provide a budget for the entire program while identifying the use of available resources for the research. Describe in detail how the funds allocated will be distributed in order to meet the objectives of the research in relation to salaries and the resources to be used. Identify how much money the overall project will require in order to solve the key questions and their break down in how the money will be used.

 

Make a search into how these police grants will be necessary to solve the different issues that have been raised in the course of the police department. Make use of interviews to solve the different questions have risen up. In addition, use the method of observation of the different problems that affect the department and how they affect the investigation of crimes.

Utilize the statistical method in solving the question in relation to money.

 

Identify if there are any other companies that are solving the same problems in another manner. If, there are, identify whether The Los Angeles Police Department is duplicating what they are doing. In addition, identify any form of collaboration with such organizations.

 

Prepare a thorough report including solutions, recommendations and a direct line of implementation directed at improving the current situation.
