Visual learning is a teaching/learning technique where information related to data, concepts and ideas among others are associated with techniques and images. Visual learning techniques impact retention, reading comprehension, student achievement, critical thinking and learning skills. Statistics on visual learners indicated that more than sixty five percent of the population are visual learners; with the human brain processing visual information more than any other information. Estimates show that approximately ninety percent of the information in the human mind originates from the visual input. Forty percent of the nerve fibers in the brain are connected to the retina. Visual literacy facilitates better encoding and decoding of information. Visual aids facilitate better learning skills by four hundred percent and that students portraying better learning skills engage visual learners.

Common sampling techniques are: Simple random sampling technique best in small samples. Systematic sampling technique is influential in sampling databases with reference to K= sample size / population size. Stratified sampling technique works with strata focusing on subgroups. Probability-proportional to size sampling technique is common with size measure and auxiliary variables in relation to the variable of interest. Cluster sampling technique is best in gathering data with variation in the time-period and geography. Quota sampling technique is common in sampling subgroups that are mutually exclusive (Hektner et al., 2006). Accidental sampling technique is also known as opportunity sampling and performed for convenience or grabs. Line intercept sampling technique works along intersects or transects of elements. Panel sampling technique is part of random sampling. The participants are asked the same information repeatedly in deriving conclusions (Mehl & Conner, 2013).

Random sampling offers simplicity basing on the procedures and systems engaged in the random selection of the elements. The sample selected through random sampling is equally tested hence representing the image of the entire population.
