Personal Experiences and Impact on the Community:
Question 1
As the residential head for my hostel, it is my prime duty to maintain a favorable environment for all the students residing in it. I handle day-to-day issues affecting the students’ welfare while in the hostels. Apart from that, I have to ensure there is relevant communication with the administration in case of any grievances and suggestions brought forward by the various students. All disputes between students and those involving the no-teaching staff are handled at my office. It is my responsibility to advice relevant students on matter non-academic once they need help at any given time.
Question 2
I have an immense passion in soccer and sports in general. I have developed a profound commitment in practice on the soccer field on a daily routine with my teammates, showing the desire to excel and learn more in the sport. Through studying skills of well renowned soccer greats across the globe, am able to mesmerize opponents and leave them for dead with such ease. I am part of the official campus team. I like to come up with ideas on attack and generally share them with the team to sharpen the teamwork and cohesiveness.
Question 3
The environment club of the campus has greatly helped me in community service and giving back to the society. All members of the club together with the willing members of the community voluntarily carry out regular cleanups of the neighboring communities on a monthly basis. Apart from cleanups, we undertake exercises on maintenance of hygiene, safe disposal of waste, consumption of clean drinking water and clean food (Gellman, 2013). The community is now a better and safe place to live in and the number of hygiene related sickness has greatly reduced, which is quite positive.
