Assessment Profile: Assessment is 100% coursework and is in two parts due in as follows: STRATEGIC PROPOSAL AND CRITIQUE – 50% (2,500 words) 2. 28TH MARCH 2014, LEADERSHIP PROFILE – 50% (2,500 words) These assessments will be discussed in detail in seminars and more information posted on Moodle. All coursework must be handed in to the postgraduate office (Floor 2 Richmond Building) by 4 pm of the deadline date. 1. 28TH FEBRUARY 2014, STRATEGIC ANALYSIS – 50% Students will produce an individual strategic analysis of one of the following organizations using secondary sources of information only: ? McDonalds ? Tesco ? Costa ? Zara ? Manchester Utd ? Nike The strategic analysis should be written and structured in report style using an appropriate referencing convention, table of contents, list of figures, diagrams, appendices etc. It should include the following sections; I. Executive summary II. Environmental analysis III. Resources analysis IV. Future recommendations and justification including an appraisal of stakeholder and ethical issues MSc Strategy & Contemporary Issues 4 Within the above sections, students are expected to select appropriate tools and frameworks. You will also be expected to draw on journal articles and textbooks. Please submit your coursework to Turnitin and provide a report with your submission. 2. 28TH MARCH 2014, LEADERSHIP PROFILE – 50% We will also be taking a personal view of leadership with each student focusing on his or her own skill base and producing a report evaluating his/her own strengths and weaknesses in terms of leadership skills.
