Assignment 2: Process and Analysis Tool design
Based on the content studied in this course, design a Process and Analysis Tool for “Employee Engagement and Stewardship” in an organization. You may choose to develop the proposal based on your present organization or for a previous organization you were involved with.
This tool should address three key areas:
Introduction ~ for new employees of the purpose, goals, and expectations of employee engagement in the organization.
Analysis Tool ~ to adequately measure and assess the engagement of the employee as well as the effectiveness of the organization’s stewardship of said employee.
Policy & Practices ~ for addressing any identified concerns and the ongoing development of Employee Engagement for long-term sustainability.
The primary purpose of this assignment is for this to become a “working paper” for you to further develop and utilize within your organization and leadership practices.
Your proposed “Process & Analysis Tool” should take into consideration all the key themes/focuses we have discussed throughout this course and should include the following info in your final assignment:
Introduction: To the organization being addressed.
Purpose Statement: for the Process and Analysis Tool and the expected benefits and outcomes of its implementation within the organization.
Methodology and Process for the introduction. Take into consideration the timing as well. For example, when and how during the hiring process and orientation.
Methodology and Process for attaining the information. (i.e. surveys, interviews, feedback loops, follow-up, etc.)
Key Themes: List the key focuses to be addressed. (i.e. consider the key focuses in this course)
Methodology for Analysis: learning from the information (i.e. appointed committee, forms, clearly laid out Employee Engagement policies and check-list, etc.)
Recommended Responses and Follow-up: to the concerns and shortcomings discovered through the analysis.
Recommended Policy and Practices for increasing and facilitating ongoing effective engagement and stewardship.
Conclusion: Why do you feel this Analysis Tool would be beneficial in your organization. How have servant leadership principles influenced your proposal?
Important: Provide support for your approach and reference it accordingly. Where possible, include any supporting materials in the appendix (i.e. copy of the proposed survey, copy of Employee Engagement Policies, check-list, etc.)
Submission format: The paper should be 10-12 pages, not including your references and appendix material.
The overall purpose of this final Assignment is to help you build a tool that can help you to intentionally apply what you have learned in this course towards becoming more effective in your leadership influence within your organization. This may be at a corporate level as you introduce this as a proposed company policy, or on a personal level as you apply it to your approach to employee engagement within your team.

Write an introduction mentioning the article and their review thesis, identify (if any) gaps, contradictions, unanswered questions, summarize and mention key findings, evaluate strengths, weaknesses, contributions to the field, recap critical points, findings, assess validity, relevance, and/or suggest future research directions.

Generalize the results to make statements about the empirical validity of the theory. To what extent is the theory supported by the research that you reviewed?

The first writing assignment focuses on
the relationship between theory and research. The goal for this assignment is to demonstrate how research is used to support or refute theory.
should use APA style for references and for any citations placed within the text.
The first step is to choose a theory. At this point we have not discussed the full range of theories, so here is a list of possible choices.
• Deterrence
• Rational choice
• Routine activities (either micro or macro level)
• Differential association
• Social learning
• Social structure-social learning
• Containment
• Techniques of neutralization
• Social control/bonding
• Self-control
• Control balance
• General strain theory
• Institutional anomie
• Labelling
• Reintegrative shaming
With theory in hand, the second step is to find three articles which test your chosen theory. These must be articles which present empirical data, operationalize the concepts from the theory, and compare the empirical results to theoretical expectations. You cannot choose articles which summarize large swaths of research (literature reviews), or secondary sources (textbooks, readers, or websites).
Also make sure they are referring to criminological theory as other fields may use similar labels for their ideas (e.g., don’t use a study on nuclear weapon proliferation deterrence or toxic gas containment—these aren’t referring to the deterrence and containment theories you read about).
You cannot use the articles from the text. They must be articles you find on googlescholar or Academic Search Complete. Google Scholar is an excellent resource for this exercise (as a search engine of academic literature).
Step three: Read the articles. Understand the research questions, methods (sample and variables), results, and implications.
Step four: Write. Each paper should have three specific sections. This should end up at least 4-5 pages.
• Explain your chosen theory. Note all concepts, how they are related to one another, and how they are related to crime.
• Summarize each article. What were the research questions? How did they go about
answering the questions? And what were the results?
• Generalize the results to make statements about the empirical validity of the theory. To what extent is the theory supported by the research that you reviewed?

Write a critical, comparative essay reflecting on: (1) the opportunities afforded by social media for building social movements and motivating social change, and (2) the obstacles / challenges for organizing and sustaining social movements online. You must choose two social movements – one is #NoDAPL and one of choosing a social movements that is environmental in focus 【For the second case, choose a case other than the following social activities: Occupy, Arab Spring, Black Lives Matter & Counter-Surveillance, Idle No More, Umbrella Movement, Back to the Land Movement, Pro-Democracy Movements in Middle East and Northern Africa ( The Arab Spring), Reactionary to climate justice movement, The Sunrise Movement & Friday for Future, Standing Rock.】.

Discuss and Analyze some common themes throughout the narratives and explain their significance.

Week 6: Discussion Board #5: Monday February 19 – Sunday February 25
Topic: Great Depression
President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his administration enacted innovative and comprehensive legislation to combat the crippling effects of the Great Depression. Their strategy centered on finding ways to create gainful employment for people where they did not produce goods to avoid increasing an already overburdened supply. In response, Roosevelt created work programs for people to gain an income through contributing to the countries’ development in sectors that spanned economics, agriculture, art, home economics, and conservation.
As part of the Work Progress Administration (WPA), the Federal Writers Project (FWP) interviewed the last generation of former slaves about their experiences. For the first time, this population of Americans has the opportunity to discuss their experiences and the plight they endured in unencumbered ways. This collection of first-hand accounts are housed in the Library of Congress and digitized for public access. Part of the collection is linked below.
Post 1: Using information from the course textbook and the documents below, discuss the social, political, and cultural impacts of the creation of the slave narratives during the Great Depression. Analyze some common themes throughout the narratives and explain their significance. Talk about the importance of the narratives in the time of their creation (1930s) and today.
1. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Inaugural Address, March 4, 1933

2. Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers’ Project, 1936-1938
https://www.loc.gov/collections/slave-narratives-from-the-federal-writers-project-1936-to-1938/articles-and-essays/voices-and-faces-from-the-collection/
Post 2: Respond to your classmates’ posts. Remember to directly address their ideas and be analytical in your response.
Make sure to reference at least three specific slave narratives.

Discuss your method of collection for the values that you are using in your study (systematic, convenience, cluster, stratified, simple random).

I AM GOING TO ATTACH THE WORKSHEET TO BE FILLED OUT ALONG WITH THE ASSIGNED ARTICLES, EXCEL WORKSHEETS YOU WILL NEED TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS.:Steps to Complete the Week 7 Lab

Step 1: Find these articles in the Chamberlain Library. Once you click each link, you will be logged into the Library and then click on “PDF Full Text”.

First Article: Confidence Intervals, Part 1 Links to an external site.
Second Article: Confidence Intervals, Part 2 Links to an external site.
Step 2: Consider the use of confidence intervals in health sciences with these articles as inspiration and insights.

Step 3: Using the data you collected for the Week 5 Lab (heights of 10 different people that you work with plus the 10 heights provided by your instructor), discuss your method of collection for the values that you are using in your study (systematic, convenience, cluster, stratified, simple random). What are some faults with this type of data collection? What other types of data collection could you have used, and how might this have affected your study?

Step 4: Now use the Week 6 Spreadsheet to help you with calculations for the following questions/statements.

a) Give a point estimate (mean) for the average height of all people at the place where you work. Start by putting the 20 heights you are working with into the blue Data column of the spreadsheet. What is your point estimate, and what does this mean?

example of adding a point estimate to spreadsheet
b) Find a 95% confidence interval for the true mean height of all the people at your place of work. What is the interval? [see screenshot below]

c) Give a practical interpretation of the interval you found in part b, and explain carefully what the output means. (For example, you might say, “I am 95% confident that the true mean height of all of the people in my company is between 64 inches and 68 inches”).

d) Post a screenshot of your work from the t value Confidence Interval for µ from the Confidence Interval tab on the Week 6 Excel spreadsheet

Step 5: Now, change your confidence level to 99% for the same data, and post a screenshot of this table, as well.

Step 6: Compare the margins of error from the two screenshots. Would the margin of error be larger or smaller for the 99% CI? Explain your reasoning.

Step 7: Save the Week 7 Lab document with your answers and include your name in the title.
