In previous years, those who did really well (70+) had searched for academic research literature beyond that listed in the unit’s reading list. They used the reading list and lectures as their starting point, not their finishing point. Rather than relying on frameworks provided by the lectures, they developed a framework for their essay that was most suited to their particular material.
